  1. Mitsubishi Starion! Yes sir, those look very imposing in person.
  2. Great thread! Love reading the back and forth between Camino and aatbloke. But, how long are donkey's years anyways? I agree with camino's opening statement about how Toyota and other Japanese firms transformed the car into an appliance. As someone who is into car design, The current crop of Toyo's do NOTHING for me. The best styled Toyotas IMO were in the late 80's through early 90's (actually, most cars in that timeperiod were very cool). Some "good" Toyotas IMHO: Previa A mid engine, RWD space capsule 1994 Camry Coupe The only Camry I like. Only the 94 bodystyle, as in 95 they ruined it. Mark IV Supra Just sex. Lexus SC 300 (third gen Toyota Soarer) Sex in a tuxedo. (Supra rode a shortened, modified Lexus SC300 platform and shared the luxury coupe's engine.) second gen MR2 A Japanese Fiero! fifth gen Celica Cool sixth gen Celica Cool meets voluptuous And one we never got, and possibly my favorite Toyota ever. 93-97 Toyota Carina ED (a 5 passenger hardtop available with AWD, built on the Celica platform!!!)
  3. Looks very cool! Are those aftermarket lights, GMPD units or did you paint the innards yourself? Darkening the lights totally improves the look. It lessens the visual impact of how gigantic they are, especially wth the refreshed facia. I loved the set up that was shown in the Maxx Cross Country from SEMA a few years ago: More (previous gen) Impala-esque!
  4. So, you went from Achieva, to Alero, to Civic?
  5. can
  6. That Bonny is very nice. I hardly get to see any here in Toronto. Whos Achieva?
  7. Thats such bull$h!! I really hope you get it back.
  8. Yes! Australia gets it as the Cherokee! http://www.drive.com.au/Editorial/ArticleD...ArticleID=37809 And the UK as well http://www.carpages.co.uk/jeep/chrysler-je...ee-06-09-07.asp And most other aprts of the world.

  13. Front side marker lamps are gone for the Malibu? Interesting A quick way to tell the 09's apart from the 08's.

  18. Good question about markups! Very hard hitting. "bloggers like yourself"
  19. "a few things we wanted to do different" LIKE WHAT!? Come on Z, I know you were nervous, but thats a huge followup question oportunity!
  20. Awesome interview! I would have probed the "Next Gen Malibu" comment a bit more, like what direction are they going in? You could have also asked what his thought was on the Camaro playing BumbleBee (since he is both a 1st gen and VW fan)! That would have been very interesting. LOL at the PT versus HHR question! Interesting point about the HHR being a next gen Suburban though (with Bryan's cynical laugh!). Good work!!!

  22. Ok, I got all worked up.... And now some very bad news. I am NOT getting this Achieva. I call the woman to ask how the safety went, and she says, and I quote, "good news, I gave the car to the mechanic!" Im like: WTF!? She explains: Went to her mechanic for certification, and appearantly he said there was about $1000 worth of things wrong with it. The brakes needed replacing, the turn signal switch was bad, and some other things. She then proceeed to hand over the car to him, with the "good intension" of sparing me the trouble. Fantastic! She didn't call to tell me of this (or ask if that was ok with me), untill I called her this morning to find out it was all over. Maybe its for the best, but if she gave away the car to the mechanic, I would have still gladly done maybe a $200 as-is deal or something. UGH!!#%^ And the worst part is, for sure that mechanic will fix it, and have it for sale for $1500. Smart business. Im VERY dissapointed. I ad been gidy for the last few days....and now...the car search continues.... Lol... http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-c...QQAdIdZ41809068 My grandma's 91 Buick SkyLark Price: $1,500.00 125k, V6 Auto, Air, Power, great body, eTest, needs cert., new brakes and other maint. It was my grandma's and I don't need a forth vehicle.

I knew it was a '61 Olds, but wow, thats a 98!? Sexy!
  24. I think I had a blue 1:64 toy of a blue stepside, but alas it was probably a shortbed. It came from a Colgate Toothpaste promotion in the early eighties If I recall.
  25. The most misleading thread title evar.
