  1. Here are the pictures and video I shot of the new 2008 Cadillac CTS at the NAIAS on Saturday January 13th. VIDEO: DOWNLOAD HI-RES (40mb): http://rapidshare.com/files/11956246/ctsvideo1.avi PICTURES:
  2. NOS and I were somewhere in that crowd too. It was very people-congested. Everytime I tried to take a picture, someones head was popping up, and at every turn, I bumped into people. The displays were fantastic, and GM this year had basicaly their own show within the show. I overheard people saying that they spent so much time at GM, they didnt have time to go anywhere else. Captive audience lol. I bet Petra is enjoying the show today. I hope GMRULES and OC have a good time, its a worthwile show.
  3. I saw it in person today, and can confirm this car is awesome! Pictures soon, with nav screen up too.
  4. The polite lady at Windsor transit told me its $19. Good deal anyhow. Im going tommorow! Will take tons of pictures and perhaps video.
  5. Awesome! Im really looking forward to going. This, er, story helps alot! Last year I pulled a NOS and headed straight for the Camaro!

  9. I was away for the holidays, so I missed this. Thank you for voting for me, and great artwork everyone!
  10. Great wrap up bobo. Just wanted to mention I got a brand new, up-to-date computer Jan 3rd. You had me nominated a year or 2 ago as "most deserving of a new computer" Heres to a great 2007!
  11. My resolution for this year is to be ruthless, and crush my enemies.
  12. WOAH! WTF!? I love the concept cars that Ford has for Detroit, but the stuff you can buy is terrible.
  13. Looking sharp! How does it sound?
  14. Its missing the aggresive stance of the Concept X. Now it looks very tipsy.
  15. Trivia: What car shown in the video was cancelled before it went on sale.
  16. 68, Your questioning of automotive styling evolution can be easily explained. MONEY When you are GM of the 50's and 60's, and own almost all of the car market, you can afford to do anything! Results: Fantastic, sculpted lines, powerful motors, all new cars every year. When you are the GM of the 70's, you lose money in the oil crisis (because of those powerful motors), and have to scale back. The government gets tough on speed, and safety. Results: Downsize, smart size, new size etc...Huge bumpers! When you are GM of the 80's, the government is getting tough on economy, and safety, and the Japanese and european makes are comming faster and stronger, you play it safe, minimize platforms, consolidate, and reduce costs. Results: Many boxy cars that look alike. When you are the GM of the 90's, the economy improves, and you have some more coin for do or die efforts. The public has grown weary of tiny econoboxes. You "rediscover" curves, and go nuts. Results: Jelly-bean styling for everyone! Now you are GM of the 00's, and you realize that people still want fantastic, sculpted lines, powerful motors, and quality to match. Unlike in the 50's and 60's, you dont have as much market share, and cant afford all new cars yearly. Unlike the 70's and 80's, you have learned to intergrate safety and economy, with style and size. And a part of you wishes to forget the nineties. You dont have much money, but you are determined to use your resources wisely. Results: Boldness! Go big, or go home!
  17. Did you guys read the release? "Step Bus seeks to create the largest possible interior with the smallest possible exterior" That means that by default it will be a box on tiny wheels.
  18. Thats it!? Much preffer the "scalloped nose" version from a few years back...
  19. I had hoped the Sebring vert would get slightly different styling. Guess not. Its not horrible, but its not that great. Better than the sedan, but only because its missing 2 doors and the roof. Less ugly surfaces.
  20. Very nicely executed! Most non-car people will not be able to tell the difference between this and the concept! And...most importantly, It looks like a true Buick! Ventiports, turnsignal/cornerlights in the front bumper, and an aura of custom built detailwork! BTW, I added a poll to guage initial reaction.
  21. Here is my entry. It was inspired by the late 60's and early 70's trucks. I actually did a bunch of sketches, and withered it down to this idea...
