Today is my 5th anniversary of joining Cheers and Gears. A warm thank you to Walt for inviting me here at the start, and to all the moderators, members, contributors, artists, writers, staff members, advanced member members, as well as the trolls (for making me laugh). I have spent half of my time on the internet with Cheers and Gears, having gone online in 1996 (then it was mainly Buletin Boards known as BBS' on a 14.4 modem). It has been a privelage and an honour to see the site grow, change, and advance over the years. I would like to say that one of my very first posts then still holds true today! 5 years of spare time, hows that?

Here are a few pictures taken Sunday night of the new Sierra. This dealership has a 50's truck, and they stood them side by side. GMTruckGuy74 is gonna love this!

Strongly Agree I like what they are trying to do, but feel the headlights and some of the minor details need further development. I am in the minority, but I like the S-10 style rear bumper. Dodgefan's version is a step in the right direction.

All I found so far... AH-HA's early Christmas gift... Hehe...

I tried to bring in lots of people at the start. It was pretty deserted at first, but things took of pretty much when autoshow season started. The rest is history. Ill try to see if I have any more C&G memories I can share...

Thanks for the pictures! How was the new Silverado in person? Seeing the Cheyenne concept reminds me of how I hoped the real GMT900 interiors would look. The HHR Panel van looks sweet!

What gets me about the Compass and Caliber is the "zero-effort design" center stack. Its a box with cut outs for the radio and hvac. That, and the plastic everything interiors. Compass Caliber See the difference a little creative design makes..... HHR Suzuki SX4

Iv never heard of Second Life, but after reviewing the website ( http://secondlife.com ), it seems pretty cool. A nice way to make money "virtually" for the creaters. Crafty idea, and a possible future evolution of the internet. I think it would be pretty awesome to have C&G represented on the Pontiac island.

Looking forward to all the new SEMA cars.
