  1. I like the front of the 3-door concept but not the rear. It looks too much like the Tribeca. The car in the third picture, the desert scene, looks amazing. Please build!
  2. I just saw the phrase "there are over 100 car makers now manufacturing in China." Who is regulating this industry? Just that fact alone makes me believe the industry is unstable. It's freaky. Perhaps GM and Ford should start buying them and running them into the ground. It lessens the chance Chinese cars will end up on our shores and it will have a bad inmpact on the economy over there.
  3. The wagon is probably better looking than the sedan. Subcompact sedans scream cheap. Another thing that screams cheap is all that black molding. Is painting it that hard? Not having it there in the first place would probably knock a few dollars off the price anyway. The interior looks nice but it looks like it's a computer graphic, to me at least.
  4. I'd like to see more than 3 awesome Buicks. Only having 3 seems weird, something's just not right. The dealers would definately not go for that no matter how great the cars are.
  5. Solstice is on the cover of Autoweek this week. Extremely positive review.
  6. That would be it. I like the front but I think the sides are a little too close to the MB R Class.
  7. The second pic makes it look like the "Rodeo" is about to flip.
  8. It may contain factual evidence but no newspaper, if they enjoy what credability they have left, would never print the line "Pass the barf bag, please" in an actual news story. Buy a copy of your local paper and see if they use any phrase even remotely close to that in a news article. A hint this was an opinion piece: "Opinions offered in If I Were King are the author's alone and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the Tri-County Times or its staff." We've covered everything the author talked about from the Prius not obtaining the EPA U.S. GOVERNMENT-CERTIFIED, ADVERTISED BY EVERY MANUFACTURER mpg numbers (like 90% of the cars sold in this country) to the droning of "buy ONLY American cars (not any other product)." I like how he casually doesn't mention Chrysler's earnings are shipped over to Germany or how the domestic parts content in Ford and GM cars have dropped over the years while the DPC in Toyota cars has risen (how many jobs were lost because of that?). I don't dispute the fact that the press seems content on putting Toyota up on a pedestal while it beats GM and Ford to death. It bothers me, I don't like it and I don't agree with it. I also don't agree with the liberal bent in the press (maybe that's why there's all the American-made car bashing?) but I deal with it. GM should take the power away from the press and market its awards directly to the public, like it has been doing. Maybe it should form a website to debunk various articles, tv news clips, etc. immediately after the public reads/sees them? Therefore there is virtually no lag between the biased press reports and GM's response. Edit: Another idea. Erect giant JD Power awards outside GM dealerships.
  9. I saw her video and noticed the Jeep. I think it's kind of cheezy that she opted to put the car in her video but it's her prerogative.
  10. I just test drove a base Vibe two nights ago and found it had plenty power. Solid car, too. This "article" really isn't news. It's an opinion piece so there's quite a bit more spinning of facts than your normal news article. Don't believe everything you read and that goes for both sides.
  11. Every time I see the picture of the burning CR-V makes me laugh.
  12. Yeah, you definately can. How about the Raider vs. the Canyon/Colorado twins? Which one is goofier?

It looks about the same size of a new Sonata so maybe it's riding on that platform? I'm guessing Kia will drop the Optima, which rides on the old Sonata platform, and bring an all-new vehicle to its showrooms. I see a Q45 in the front, a Corolla in the doors and a little bit of the new Jetta in the rear.

Along with looking more modern, it looks like it has a lot better build quality. I like how it's more evolutionary instead of revolutionary. However, I hope normal consumers know it's all-new (vs. only a new look).
  15. You're right, it doesn't look good.
  16. I agree. I think it's a very bad investment on Mitsubishi's part. The midsize truck market is pretty much saturated with a wide variety of models. Luckily, Mitsu actually changed the look of the truck. It didn't just slap its badge on a Dakota.
  17. For me, that's a face only a mother could love. That's just about as bad as the B9 Tribeca.

43.8mpg is still roughly 10 - 13 more MPG than my car gets. Hybrids aren't all just about improved gas mileage or more power without a larger engine. They emit way less emissions, too.
  19. Trailblazer vs 4Runner. Both of them can go offroad and are built on truck platforms. The Pilot can handle rain...that's about it.
  20. Check them out at TCC: Click here
  21. I've never seen an Impala taxi before, didn't know they existed.
  22. Hopefully GM marketing makes it a priority to advertise the hell out of that story.
  23. Check out these pictures of the Mitsubishi Concept Sportback, courtesy of Autoblog. I don't know if I can actually post them on the board so I'll just give you the link. Click here
  24. The red taillights look less boy racer, more upscale sporty wagon. The white makes the car look like it's trying too hard.
