There's a small car lot/repair shop near where I live which has a 1950 Chevrolet pick-up truck (with the paint all but worn off) and it's written on the windshield "V-6." Right next to it is a beige and wood 1946 Dodge truck that looks like one good wind would reduce it to a pile of sticks. It used to say "$5,000" on the windshield, but now it says "$ 000." Evidently it's been reduced to what it's worth.

Buick is no longer a full line, it's part of the Buick - Pontiac - GMC sales channel... so the B-P-G total is the only figure that can be used now. Globally, Buick sales are up and Buick remains (and will remain) a part of GM.

Isn't the fact of the matter that some entity could buy GM at what amounts to chump change (wasn't it $5.73 billion the other day), very small money compared to Mattel or whoever? I suppose Toyota wouldn't dare buy GM and cut everything but Chevrolet and Cadillac... but if those brands are the great core assets that GM thinks they are, Toyota could have most everything and be most everywhere for comparatively little money!
