  1. Have a safe and ejoyable vacation. But now who will give us a peek into the crystal ball? Can you ask Bob Lutz to start posting here
  2. Atlanta

  4. I saw T. Boone Pickens talking on several different segments today on the TV.
  5. Hudson, I don't know. But in the current American Family Insurance TV commercial "take-off" on the Brady Bunch, the driveway has a blue Pontiac (like an early '70s LeMans or Tempest) convertible and a big, brown Buick Estate Wagon in the garage.
  6. My older brother just bought a 2005 yellow GTO. He told me that he had to find some common ground with his wife; she "vetoed" the Pontiac G8 and the Nissan Maxima. I'll share a brief portion of my brother's e-mail message: "It just satisfies my need for power. Remember my '74 Z/28 Camaro? It drives like that. It feels sooooo good . . . Can you borrow it? Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. Straight to the moon, Alice."
  7. "Half-bad" won't cut it. Buick needs a shock to jolt its system. Not just nice cars. Startling cars!
  8. Can I vote several times more in the poll and... um... "pack" the gay vote, so to speak... ?

For the Buick person, the Invicta (I'm going to presume that's the name, to use LaCrosse/Allure would be foolish) is a "gotta-have," just like the Buick Enclave. It's right up-to-date with a touch of the old Buick (sweepspear, tri-shield).

  11. It's entirely possible that Saturn and Saab will join Buick, together, as a sales channel. Please search for comments elsewhere on this site by Pontiac Custom-S.
  12. Better check with Pontiac Custom-S. They might add the G8 ST to that website he mentioned when asked elsewhere about the G8 Wagon, nosuchpontiac.com.
  13. Mr. LaNeve's pants are on fire.
  14. At automotivenews.com, the headline reads "GM denies any more brands under review," but the text of the story states, "A General Motors spokesman today denied the automaker is reviewing any more brands besides Hummer for possible sale." I added the bold, suspecting it means they won't be selling GMC and Pontiac, but will instead just close them.
  15. I had to defend my sullied reputation. gm4life: Waiting for your apology.
  16. gm4life: Are you sure you didn't quote the wrong guy? I praised Pontiac. So for you to reply to the quote of me as you did...
  17. The NG Buick LaCrosse has been seen (still wearing camouflage) around Troy, MI. To view the story posted on Autoblog.com, which includes some photos, click here.
  18. "all hands on deck!" deck... deck I say...

"A plug-in hybrid Chevy Impala wagon? Oh, Jim, you're such a dreamer!"
  20. A 1967 Opel Kadett? I remember the dealer brochure with them! But, although buick disibuted them in the US, they never put the Buick name on the body of them, right?
  21. Zest? Is it a car or a bar of soap?

"I hope you enjoy those sandwiches I made for you with tomatoes and cilantro, honey! Mu-wah-hah-hah!"
  23. Oldsmobile Curved Dash
  24. What? The Pontiac "arrowhead" is a historic, classic, cherished brand logo... equivalent to Chevrolet's "bowtie," Oldsmobile's "rocket," Buick's "tri-shield," Cadillac's "crest," etc. Pontiac fans such as myself might say it represents performance, power, even sexiness!
