Chevrolet Cobalt SS Coupe
Different strokes for different folks... the SS Supercharged (and SRT-4) will be popular among the big horsepower crowd, but ultimately, its electric power steering, ropy gearbox, and twist-beam rear suspension will let down most others.

Autoweek reviews the Solstice
Wow, that's excellent photography.

Should C&G review cars?
Perhaps I should do one for our beater... a 1988 Volvo 240 GL with a breathtaking 114 horsepower engine!

Official 9-5 Image
It's not bad... I love how sharply creased the fenders are. It looks surprisingly clean and fresh for such a dated car, just like the 9-7X...

If you could change something about GM's car's?
... a CNG-powered Cobalt 2-door. I'd love single-occupant HOV access and the convenience of not paying parking meters, without the inconvenience of the Civic GX's "POOR" head protection and "MARGINAL" torso. And Priii are out, totally.

Roller Coasters
I've been on xcelerator and many others, but they all feel the same... sort of. I enjoy the thrill of a rollercoaster, but some are extreme to the point it's... pointless. It's almost like it was designed to beat a record and torture your body for the sake of it, not because it's enjoyable. I can't remember how many times a day at the theme park has been ruined by a g-force induced headache.

Subaru will add minivan for U.S. in '07 or '08
Speaking of the Tribeca, I saw a dark blue one today, and it looked stunning!

Spy shots from Autoweek
I don't see room for it, especially since Suzuki has their own new Vitara now.

Can Martha Stewart help sell Buicks?
Like her or not, she draws attention, and that's exactly what Buick needs. Of course, Tiger did, too, but he's not even close.

When is SAAB...
It really depends on the quality of rubber and where it's used. Personally, I prefer rock-solid rubber molding over flexible, molded, painted plastic stuff, because it seems more, well, substantial. It's hard to explain...

Chevys becoming more popular among the young?
Maybe not Chevy, but GM is making an effort with Saturn. They had awesome ads during the MTV VMA's, including the newly redesigned VUE, the SKY, and also the AURA concept.

Should C&G review cars?
Or a really, really, really long-term review.

Strange things said about your car
Blame South Bay BMW. They use white, BMW-badged xB's as their "courtesy shuttle," complete with "SOUTH BAY BMW" windshield banners and license plate frames. I get many looks riding in it.

GM Interns Return
Right... ;)

Kia surprises everyone with a pretty bitchin'...
Grand Carnival Limiteds will be Sedona EX's in the US.

New Hydra-Matic 6T70 Six-Speed Automatic...
So I guess the '06 9-3 uses another tranny? Will the Fusion/Milan/Zephyr/Montego/500 continue to use the ZF tranny?

Strange things said about your car
"Nice Jetta" to a Passat.

Solstice Review/Toronto Star's Jim Kenzie drives i
Mazda has had so long now to tweak the perfect British roadster recipe that the Solstice has to rely on styling and value to win. I've said this on old C&G, but conceptually, the MX-5 and Solstice are too different animals. One is a light, agile, wind-in-your-hair roadster, while the other is a poor man's version of a high performance sports car (Z4, SLK, etc). Both are very appealing.

Official 9-5 Image
It could be worse... but, still, I don't think it has enough substance. At $40K, people want the best... good character won't cut it. Who'd buy one over an E-class, A6, or 5-series?

Sketch Competition 1 - Muscle Car!
Nice... I love the Alfa Romeo-ness of it all.

Hot or Not?
Kinda dated... the C5 Anniversary Edition wheels are similar, but better looking, IMO.

Montana SV6 SWB
Don't forget the Mazda5, too...

Pontiac Solstice & GQ
Nice find... funny how a European magazine road tests it before US mags do. Edit: Nevermind... Edit #2: Werd... the Solstice looks good, but I wonder how much of the story was made up.
