When did 0-60 and a 1/4 mile become the same. O-60 is one thing. 30-75 is another. Standing 1/4 mile another. All ways to point out performance. Not bad for a Buick in this day and age, not bad at all. I hope the Baby Buick does as well .....

It's called taking care of what you have .... and not bitching because you don't. By the way I had a 72 Vega wagon. Dropped a small block in it with a turbo 350 and 10 bolt rear end, and it was still junk.

The VEGA was a piece of sheet .... the ION is just not a good looking car.

Easy to do if it cared for from day one .... 20 mins every other month and it stays that way. And no wax is used under the hood either.

I like the looks of the Cruze ... nothing dorky looking about it to me. In all the years the ION has been on the road "I" can't be quoated saying it's a good looking car. Looks alone can't sell me a car.

Must keep it waxed and in the shade..doesn't have the usual AZ paint oxidation. I saw a black Maxima today that couldn't have been over 5 years old or so and the roof, hood, and decklid were mostly gray/white... Sits in the sun all day at work in the garage once home .... hummmm notice just one thing, it's not black, and I NEVER put wax on cars.

Mike ............. it's easy. I moved out of the rustbelt, and the heat fries most things with wings that get stuck on the front of the car.

The powertrain is the deal breaker. For my daily go to work car ... a HUGE deal breaker. The CRUZE proves looks are only skin deep. I'll keep my ugly red headed stepchild.

After reading about the "new" chevy cruze one last time. I thought I'd buy the ION a new set of wheels and keep it a few more years. Maybe you'll start building compact cars people want down the road, and maybe I'll buy one ... As of now, not a chance in Hlsinki.

sitting in the garage with the Tin Indian so I bought it some 225/45X17 tires and new wheels. Now it wants to go to Firebird and race the Solstice heads up.
