So you DO NOT mind another Holden in US??- The Future of Buick - Autoweek
I am sorry but I have to say this. If the very same products from the very same country which bombed us in 1945 got the bad memories which they created erased from our country then Buick can too as it has nothing anti-US against them to turn the tide around for its good products. Part of what is preventing Buick is the negative perception about it which the people are being bombarded with. For example four years ago when Buick did not have good products media was bashing them. Now Buick has one stellar product (Enclave) and one better than Average (Lucerne) the new trick the media plays is ohh look at Buick at one time it was a 800 lb Gorilla now it is a 10 oz Yorkie with only three products and thus it is not going to survive. Yes part of it is GM to blame, but at the same time, GM should get a second chance. As far as market share for Buick and GM in general, I would rather see a 25% market share in 16 million units than 35% market share in 12 million units. If it was not for that reduced share and the media bashing GM would not have woken up till they were really signing the Chapter 11.- The Future of Chevrolet - Autoweek
GM of yore had that woeful habit of not refreshing the product till it got a bad identity and then ditch the name (as latest as the Cavalier and S-10). But the current Impala for the first time seems to have gotten at least a little bit of respect, and even genuine import humpers respect its existence. One of my import humping friend who loves the Hordawgs and Beemers was amazed by the Impala SS which he had rented in Chicago this week. His only wish was to have a 6-speed and it would be a perfect covert cruise ship on the highway. Apart from confusing the people by going with a new name, it also kills a lot of money for marketing, and publicity of this new vehicle. And GM at this moment needs that money.- Arkansas couple has 17th baby

+1 Impala should stay Impala. GM does not get it when it comes to their bread and butter cars about keeping the name same for more than one or two generations.- Guess what I saw today?

When I look at the numbers they look polar opposite. The vehicles that have gained in numbers are the GASHOGS TURD AND LS460, and GAS-SIPPER Prius. Rest have been mediocre. Crapolla, Yaris, Sienna have bombed really bad. So has the TC.- New Morocco Brown interior for '08 AURA
