I never really quite understood why G35 is considered that good. The engine sounds like a howling eunuch. The interior quality is not at par with the others and certainly not aesthetic. The gear lever is weird and the clutch action is long. However, the ride quality is better.

Yeah, unfortunately at that time, the bean counters and accounting people decided how to make and what to put in a vehicle.

I like this part. It is true. Volt was like an innovation that they caught on early and they need to capitalize it. If I was GM, I would let Ford join the party, like they did for the 6-speeds, and churn them out in numbers, which Toy and others will take a while to achieve.

Another car company which is pushing rentals is Nissan. I see tonnes of Sentras, Altimas, and Maximas at all the rental places here in Orlando. One of the sub contractors, who worked for the completion of one of our project had rented three Crew Cab Nissan Frontiers from Avis.

One thing I did see was that there was no obvious mention of the "build quality" and "plastics". Probably that is the window they might open to bitch about, once the G-8 comes through.

You obviously are not a smart investor, rather a sheepling who believes in media spin, since you are comparing apples with oranges, without getting the holistic picture. Mr. Schramer, I hope this helps. I paid $1152.34 at 114777.8 miles on my 3100, 1998 Lumina on January 14, 2005. That also included replacing the belt, coolant tank, and coolant pipes and an "Oil Change", which was like DUH.
