  1. Forget being winless, they had pole like twice and podiums like less than 10 times. They are yet to set a fastest lap of the race. And they have been in the sports for six years. I.e. about 100 Races. I am sure a company with that much capability and innovation and technology (sarcasm) should at least win ONE race. When Toy announced in 2000, I had actually welcomed the move, saying that it will create a fourth competitor to then strong Williams, Ferrari and Mclaren. But it created strong competition for Minardi and Jordan the teams which were renowned for finishing last. The same is happening with NASCAR. Toy lacks innovation in the mechanics of a car. They may be good in logistics and marketing. But when it comes to innovation in motor vehicles Toy is just sophisticated Chinese, someone adept at reverse Engineering. Tell me one thing what vehicle is innovative in Toy's lineup? Nothing. Don't say Prydust, because Ferdinand Porsche was first to create the idea of a hybrid, Toy just copied it, after almost 100 years. Toy's F1 saga reminds me of a new advertisement of Saturn, regarding the Aura that I saw today. "Sometimes good guys do finish first." In this case, sometimes not so good guys do finish last.
  2. Did they change the name to Bob's Big Girl, while she was modeling?
  3. I want to tell one thing to the Congress. Do you want to level the field, then push Japan to open up their automotive sector to their foreigners. Don't you think it is fair for GM to compete there? Build plants there and say in Japanese how they are helping Japanese economy.

What were their exact words? You know where I am getting at.
  7. Yup considering the Vectra is Just around the Corner. In a good way or bad way? I kinda disagree, I foresee it selling the 3 door version better than the 5 door. because of the "sporty" feeling and options in it GM is portraying. More hip people will buy it who are independent individuals with no family to tack on. Was it not the same color they displayed in the Chicago show? As a matter of fact the 3-door and 5-door in your photos have exactly the same colors as the show cars, which makes me wonder if the are they "SAME" cars, displayed in the auto show. Colors

I doubt that. It is the handling and superior track worthiness of the Z06 that will still keep its unique place. Although the margin will reduce, Z06 will still be a better handling car.
  11. Yeah, I had it in one of the post of NASCAR. It made it huge in Europe, strangely it was missed here.
  12. I was hoping they would have put dual exhausts on it. That thing would have looked mean with them, but alas.

  15. Yup, GM created its short term defense from the Bankruptcy in 2005-06, now it is time for a long term approach. GM made its market cap fail, it is in their hand to restructure it. I am sure the numbers are more than 11B in 2007 compared to the 2006 shown by Mr. Krinkle, and at the same time I am sure that Toy might have increased their numbers too. Honestly, I think GM is in better shape in 2007, they now know what to target at (TOY), now all they need is target-practice.
  16. I wished some how GM would have had foothold in Japan itself, by buying one of the smaller Japanese companies.
  17. Well said. The myopic mentality of the current generation and as a matter of fact capitalism is hurting GM and US manufacturers in general. Consumers think they have power to buy anything and cheap, by supporting competition, and what they forget are they themselves in some ways or other are producers if goods will be manufactured here. If uncle Tommy wants a cheap ladder made from China he forgets that his distant cousin Sue who used to work for a ladder manufacturer in USA is getting laid off as the company is going down. Walmart is like a category 5 hurricane, that it destroys jobs and small vendors which come in its ways, while "creating" their happy face customer "associates". I certainly hope up to a certain extent for the dollar to be devalued especially against Yuan and Yen. It will put our economy in a brief spin, but if we have courage and desire to stay a superpower as we call ourself to be we will come out of it. People are living in a sense of Matrix created by our politicians and media in general and it is time for some Neo to have courage and start putting the things back.
  18. Well said. Toy humpers do not realize, that how "unbiased" the automobile field is. They just say that if Toy can do it GM must, there are no excuses. Perception is the name of the game. Forget how many good products you make, if people have bad perception about you it does not matter about your deeds, and vice a versa (I did not mean the sh*tbox Nissan).
