+1 I completely agree. I think GM should keep great prices on the fuel efficient models and then hold nothing back on the v8 and charge for it. No one should complain about the v8s price if the cars got a big hairy set on it.

I wrote my statement after reading my new motor trend mag were they had a G8 GT up against a charger R/T. The G8 GT out handled and out accelerated the R/T by a far margin and motor trend showed that its numbers compared better to the last charger SRT-8 they tested. On a side note motor trend had a comparison test in the same mag of a mustang GT premium against the base model of the top mustang tuners (sellen,roush, and shelby) the G8 GTs numbers were better or very close to all of them and the G8 was cheaper than the stock mustang.

the G8 ST only needs AWD, V6 option, and a bed rail system like the ridgeline to be successfully. An ext cab 2 door with a fold down bench would be even better to keep the proportion.

lots of mags have had the gt running faster than a srt-8 so the gxp will smoke those srts.

I would make the mid-level xlr $75,000 and change the engine to the curent xlr-v 400+ bhp north star. If they can get the 3.6 up to 325 bhp it would be fine for $60,000. i think this would work because with the 3.6 performance will not change but price will go down and the 400+ bhp north star will keep those got to have a DOHC people happy. This also would match the competitions power #s and for those who need to beat those SL55 and M6s you get 550 bhp and 550lb ft o push rod power and a great price.

I thought the same thing. This would answer the question people had about the ZR1 and CTS-V not having supercharger wine. YES people GM can make 600 bhp without a supercharger.

Someone payed $80,000 for a gutar, I gess because it was sighed by van hailen.

GM better have more than a 320bhp v6 in a 3700lb car if they are going to put an SS badge on it, this sound more like a combo that would deserve a SPORTS badge.
