Buick Wants to Bring in the Black Guys
Rednecks will make racist remarks, but percentage wise, the Black community supports Buick and GM a lot more than Caucasians.

Buick needs more models
It is not 1996, period. Also a two door or wagon version of a 4 door is not a "model", it's a body style. And that '96 Century was the ancient Chevy Citation platform in its last year! Good riddance! For 1997, the Century/Reagl went to one platform. The Roadmaster was dead in 97, and Skylark was fleet only by 98. Face reality, GM has 25% market share at best, and Buick will never ever have the 1996, 1976, 1966, 1956..... line up.

2008 Chevrolet Malibu - Name
If they were changing the name, GM would have announced it by now. The car is 'locked in'.

Impala goes back to RWD in '09
No there won't be RWD Chevelles, Novas, Chevettes, Monzas, Concours, BelAirs, Biscaynes, or Vegas. Camaro and Imapla are it Car Craft fans! And, I'd bet late 2009 CY, as a 2010 or maybe early 2011 MY car.

Chrysler Tribute to Plymouth Superbird
It's as real as the "2005 Camaro", and the "2007 40th anniversery Camaro' posted here years back. Some think Plymouth made only 'low priced power/muscle cars'. But back in the day most of them were slant 6 powered Valients, 318 2 barrel carbed Fury sedans/wagons, and in the 80's/90s, minvans!

Car And Driver
Rabbit gets mid size gas mileage and MSRP for a compact size. They picked a plain jane Sentra, just to get a 6 speed manual. Not fair t put it against 'touring package' Mazda 3 and a more loaded Hyundai. Also, Nissan is promoting CVT's now, so unfair on that aspect also. C/D is still caters to the 'I will drive a manual tranny only' folk, which are about 1-3% of the populaton. Reality is some want manuals for a 'toy' or 'weekend' car, but for commuting in the real world, they get an auto. I'd like to see the CVT Sentra up against the slush box versions of all those cars. Isn't the Corolla still a 4 speed?

Oct. 2006 Sales: Ford Motor Company
Take out the money losing Taurus, and profits go up. Fleet managers are stockpiling the cheapo cars, but they should pay retail like us people on the street.

Oct. 2006 Sales: General Motors Corp
Monte C. is a lame duck, don't expect it to break any records. It's for old timers who listen to disco all day. Also, Pontiac and Buick are one division now, so don't expect both of them to match Chevy's lineup, 'with more trim' again. "Buickman" would expect a Buick version of the Cobalt, Aveo, and HHR, with chrome.

2007 G5 review
The G5 is not a 'sports car', its a Sunbird sucessor. The Chevette was RWD, but was j-u-n-k.

SEMA Sebring
"that pointless little black plastic triangle on the C-Pillar." I absolutely hate that! Car looks like its a 96 Grand Am with tacky trim pieces to try to 'look stylish'.

Buick Portholes in USA TODAY
"They showed up on models until 1958...." DUMB F, they returned in 1960, and stayed until the 84 Park Ave.

Proof young people sure must hate Buicks...
Young people of the 80's and 90's, who are over 40 today, still have the old images of WW2 era folks driving an '82 X Body Skylark 45 MPH on the hiway. Also, they still think the boxy A body is still made. But that is all changed now. Should promote the newer cars more and less 'brand management' type ads.

Monte Carlo days numbered?
Yeah the early 80's 110 HP V6 G bodies sure were 'muscle cars' weren't they??? Some that were not around think all old RWD cars were 'high performance' cars. Most were slow mobiles, with base engines, maybe 150HP average. The famed RWD 1980's SS had only 180. And those Monte Carlos that some claim to see 'everywhere' are probably 6-10 year old cars.

2007 G5 review
"Should be RWD BOF"??? There were never any RWD BOF compact cars, ever. Where does one think they were back in the day??? The G5 is the successor to the Pontiac Sunbird, [and Astre], which were not BOF at all!! The 'compact' F and X [Nova family] RWD cars had a sub frame and were not pure BOF. And in today's measurements, are mid-sized cars.

Another One Bites The Dust
Years ago Buick had more models, which were just Chevys with more chrome. GM has to keep the main brands, Chevy and Caddy going, and not all of them with the same cars as they did all of the 80s and 90s. Look hwo well that worked, from 45% to 25% share. No one [exepct nerds] cares about Buick's trim differences versus Chevy's when buying a car, they care about quality, performance, and value. And don't just shop GM brands too.

Another Jerry Flint Column to Outrage Everyone
"Everything else in the Cadillac lineup? Almost exclusively blue-hairs." Those 'blue hairs' are an increasing demographic, adn have more cash then most of the trendy kids at the 7-11. For every rich Lindsay Lhoan wanna-be there at a $$$ club, there are 1000 young 'hipsters' that can only afford a used Kia. So, ahem, 'blue hairs' define the luxury segment. Most Lexus are older drviers, and high end German cars too. The 3 series gets the 30 somethings, but they are not 'kids'. Sure get young kids to desire your products, but who has the real spending $$$, Mom and Dad!!!!

China Boom: GM up 36.7% in China
A good place for Buick man to move and sell Buicks.

JUST RETURNED FROM GM CANADA DEALER ONLY CAR SHOW
I'm glad they are keeping Malibu name, it is from the 'classic' era. And too many name changes. Cavalier needed to go, but not Malibu or Impala. Also, sure the auto rags will find some tiny little thing in the interior and say 'not better than a Camry or Accord'. But, who really cares?

2007 Pontiac Torrent - Huge Improvements
Is it a company car? Or did you trade in after a year?
-
'08 Impala changes?
The old W body is finally on the way out. I don't think GM would spend $$ on changing styling just cuz a few want it, escpecially with heavy fleet sales.

No New Corolla Until 2008 CY
The analysts say, 'well it shows Toyota is reacting to the new Civic'. Next time someone claims that Toyota is perfect, remind them of this and other recalls.
-
DCX to Produce Their Own DSG
I'd bet any name associated with the X cars has been dropped from GM.
-
DCX to Produce Their Own DSG
Well, it isn't just Ma Mopar anymore, this is coming from DCX, DaimlerChrysler. So, it is really coming from Damiler in Germany, not the home of 'make sure you carry a spare ballast resistor' electical systems.

GM Death Watch 94
"Introduce Lucerne and aura........a new, yet old 01 Aurora" And one more thing, the Aura is not "an 01 Aurora" reskinned. It is not the G body at all, its the Epsilon, which is far from 'dated'.

GM Death Watch 94
Buick used to seel well as re-badges of Chevys, when most of the WW2 generation was still able to drive or alive. They bouight them since ofr $50 more they were getting what they thought was a 'better car than a Chevy". all they really got was badges and more chrome. B man wants and expects these 'good od days' to come back. Just put a Buick badge on all of GM's main car/truck lines and supposedly watch buyers line up. But the "Buick loyalists" are in nursing homes or passed on. Can't just rely on the old "I work for GM and my family has driven them forever.." buyers. "I know more about selling cars" should travel outside of Flint MI and see that 90% of the US car buiyers do not care about the old GM divisional trim/styling/image differences and 'good old days'.
