  1. agreed...if the Aveo topped out around 16-17, then the base model Cruze could pick up right there seeing as the Cobalt starts at 15.
  2. The Cruze isn't even an entire inch longer than the Cobalt sedan, leaving it nicely in the compact class. The Aveo should stay smaller, but will replace the Cobalt price-wise. The next-gen Malibu will switch back to SWB Epsilon. The overall difference between the current LWB Malibu and the last-gen SWB Malibu is only 3.5 inches. I don't think there will be too big of a problem there. This leaves room on top for an XTS (> 200 in) or LaCrosse (~197 in) sized next-gen Impala (the current one sits right at 200 in). The major differentiator is going to be pricing/design/content. Hopefully Chevy will play the pricing game right, and not rely on rebates that make the Impala/Malibu the same price or Malibu/Cruze the same price, etc. Plus, if Chevy is going to make up 70% of GM's North American sales, they are going to need competitive models in every possible segment.

hmmm...for some reason I thought that it had a 255 hp version of the 2.0
  4. Just a little, but didn't China ban Facebook too?

I got an email today from Buick about the new Regal and noticed something odd at the very end... Born in Europe. Raised on the Autobahn. The sport-injected 2011 Buick Regal is powered and tuned to deliver the precise, agile handling of a premium sport sedan, coming Spring 2010. Regal comes standard with a 2.4L ECOTEC™ SIDI Variable-valve timing engine that puts out 182 hp. Plus, it's paired with a 6-speed transmission that features Driver Shift Control. And to make your driving experience that much more dynamic, Regal boasts a class-exclusive Interactive Driver Control system that offers three selectable modes to adjust suspension, steering, throttle and transmission settings in real time for a personalized driving experience. You can see why the excitement for Regal is already in full swing. Since the reveal at the L.A. Auto Show in December, its good looks and performance have the press clamoring for more. In fact, CarandDriver.com lauded Regal saying, "...it's handsome to look at." (November 2009) And to keep the good buzz for Regal going, Buick has just announced a turbo-powered 280 HP Regal GS Concept. Get to know the 2011 Regal and Regal GS on Buick.com or become a fan of Buick on Facebook. Do you think it's just a typo, or are they planning a boost for production?
  6. My roommates sister has an Alpha that I think is really nice, but I think she'll be happy when her lease is up. Her biggest complaint is the poor visibility.
  7. I quoted a few things to reply to, and after reading the rest of the thread I was laughing to damn hard to remember what I was even going to say...
  8. I really like the idea of the Keurig, but when I drink coffee it is usually more than one cup and it seems like it could get expensive...
  9. Same engine is in the GS as well, just tuned to ~250 hp
  10. Wow I didn't even catch that...apparently I can't read...ha ha
  11. It's good to see these vehicles getting recognition even if it is from CR...
  12. That's great...I wonder how much the GS will be if the CXL Turbo will start around 30K. I really can't wait for the next year to pass so I can be driving one of these... I'm also a little curious if there is going to be a CXS model between CXL and GS...or maybe they should have just called the CXL turbo CXS
  13. Overall not bad, but that C-pillar is HUGE and the rear is rather generic/bulbous
  14. I think that hole is where the reflectors were on the concept...

normally, I can't stand to watch people make asses of themselves, but since these morons chose to subject themselves to it, I have to laugh...the terrible people are always the best part of that show...which I usually only catch on occassion at the very beginning of each season...
  16. Sounds like a great vehicle, and I prefer the styling over that of the Equinox by a mile. Also, thanks for the vid of the light cluster operation! I know it seems like an odd request, but Volvo used to (and still might) put a lighting feature on their website so you could see what the interior and exterior lighting of all their vehicles looked like. I wish more companies would do this. And about that panel gap, I didn't even notice it until z28 pointed out exactly what was wrong...
  17. It sounds like you're really enjoying the Terrain. As a side note, my cousin just bought his wife a fully loaded Terrain as a quasi Xmas gift...her previous three cars have been a Sienna of each generation and a current gen Camry...

Power generation in the US is a HUGE polluter as well, and if the plants are small enough they don't even have to meet federal regulations. If every tree hugger really wanted to save the world they could just stop using anything electric...see how they like that
  19. now that's poetry I like!
  20. Unfortunately that's the truth... I agree whole heartedly with your statement and can relate to the situation with a few gay friends as well as a couple family members.
  21. BWAHAHAHA...I knew tv was evil... I agree w/ you though...I don't understand how people can believe this bull$h!
  22. I would really like to see some night time interior shots as others have said. Also, this is kind of weird but if you could get a video of the turn-signal operation/brakes or the exterior light clusters in general I would really appreciate it. Can't wait to see what you think of the I-4 especially the fuel mileage since I keep hearing the Equinox's fuel mileage isn't anywhere near the EPA's claim...
  23. My thoughts exactly...hopefully all that experience can be used to GM's advantage.
