Dsuupr, I think the "parade of progress" should be GM's latest cars traveling around to get the word out. At the begging can be the CTS, followed by the Vette, Malibu, etc. etc.etc.

This logic has sort of a Dooooooyyyy Duhhhhhhh problem. The wealthy are not responsible for the good of the country. The politicians and all of the people in a democracy are responsible for themselves and contributing to the country in various ways all for the public good.

The Edsel is cool? Yes! It's the day I've been waiting for! Seriously, I've never seen the big deal with it. Yes, its ugly. Sure, it didn't have a good reputation for quality, but it was a mover and a shaker and you gotta give props to Ford for doing something ballsy.
