  1. If I remember correctly, the M45 will become the M50 I believe in the next year or so when the 4.5 gets replaced with a 5.0. Not sure of the horsepower, but it must be well above the 330 hp the M37 will have. The M45 has 325 hp and the GS430 has been replaced with the GS460 and I think it has 360 hp if I remember right.
  2. Mama's right.
  3. There are some right purty Photoshops of the G8 ST and G8 SW in this months Motor Trend magazine. They said both the ST and SW will be on sale in Fall of 08. Not much longer Camino.
  4. GM is not the only automaker who will be abandoning V-8s in their high end vehicles. BMW, Mercedes, Audi, etc will all have to change to meet the same CAFE standards that GM has to meet, so we can expect to see fewer V-8 engines from those automakers in their cars as well. These new standards will not only pertain to General Motors. This will not be the end of the V-8, but it will seriously decrease the production of V-8 powered vehicles. The Northstar is a small V-8, and with power very similar to the new DI V-6, is not needed. GM will have other V-8's that are just as efficient and more powerful in low production V-series cars. I think many of you are failing to see the big picture of the industry as a whole. I haven't lost faith in Cadillac running with the big guns. I think they are being forward thinking and smart by acting now to meet these regulations.

  6. Drooling in anticipation. Yes yes! Please!
  7. Yes, to further prove the inefficiency in the design. Good point.
  8. Me: I'd like Oversaturatiing the Crossover Market for $2000 Alex. Alex: "This automaker is quickly losing market share due to their dependence on one type of vehicle, the crossover SUV." Alex: "K.C." Me: "What is Ford." Alex: "That is correct."
  9. Agree with RJB here, doesn't matter what kind of hybrid technology GM introduces on this vehicle, its still morbidly obese. Also, I think the development of this two mode hybrid system can and should be instituted in many more models throughout GM's portfolio.
  10. Sure! They'll grow on us, like the Ebola virus on the automotive market

    Hi Brian! You're special!
  19. The 08 Magnum should be worth sometime in the future because there won't be many with that particular styling, especially the SRT-8 model.
  20. Good point Ven. With big changes, now is a particularly good time for GM to become a leader in the upcoming changes that each automaker must meet. The market changes with various needs of the people and from legislation. Some are taking it too personally. Cars are not personal, its a business.
