SIDE NOTE: how come GMC isn't ever in the middle of the back of the trucks suv's. I realize it's not exactly a symbol like chevy's and cadillacs, but if they can stick it in the middle of the grille, why isn't it center on the backside of the new yukon too?

That's a really GOOD question. I'll guess 45k loaded? to undercut the RX, FX, and other fully loaded? (i'm assuming heavy price overlap between outlook, acadia, enclave, but that's ok as long as each looks reallllly different) The LTZ almost looks overpriced, and the Denali is a steal!

I agree. Bailouts isn't how capitalism works. Chrysler's bailout never really got them back on the both feet. And President Bush isn't going to start offering money before the big three have negotiated with the unions THEMSELVES. They are still far away from bankruptcy and "crunch" time. Bailout is a LAST resort, and they are nowhere near it. The Big Three need to adopt the slogan, "we don't negotiate with terrorists" and then condsider the union workers who refuse to quit or take reasonable pay cuts terrorists, end of story.

i read the new 3-series coupe.conv is gonna be at NYIAS, with Lexus trying to steal thunder with their IS coupe concept. So they must be showing the x5 or x-concept

WOW, i didn't know the RX was that expensive. barf! I think Buick belongs with the GMC/Pontiac b/c it completes the lineup. And I don't think Buick and Cadillac would complement eachother. Gm wants to buyers to follow the ladder. Not only does Cadillac have a full lineup, but being apart has it's own ambience? I would have put Saab with Buick, or Saab/Saturn

I agree then Buick & Pontiac have a Coupe OR Conv and a large sedan, with Chevy getting a nice Camaro Coupe. And the Impala can handle the full size market. If people want a RWD sedan, buy a buick or pontiac. end of story

that's fantastic, GM put effort into this! buyers will be fighting eachother for full size SUV's that get 20/26. the market is perfect. the avg mom that wants an SUV doesn't need to go off-road and stuff, but does want the size and fuel eff. ..and now they have it! amazing. GM will sell every single one!!

OMG. to look at the camaro and then by accident look at this was traumatizing. i mean holy crap. it's like the GM CSV differences. few and poorly done. I am truly amazed chrysler is trying to pawn this crap off on the general public. SHAME ON THEM!

there is chrome below the windows on the escalade. And i agree, it is a marked contrast, so they should delete the chrome on the doors. The already have chrome roof rails, chrome below window, and chrome along the bottom of the vehicle. If they put chrome the whole length of the windows, it look like the upcoming navigator http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=2259337, not so smooth. the chrome along the top of the doors, combined with the blacked out b pillar, gives it a nice smooth effect.

A agree the chrome on the bottom of the side view mirrors seems tooo thick. And the cadillac symbol seems to get lost in all that chrome on the back.

No, go look at the SRX. chrome would be overkill there. the glass wouldn't be flush then with the body. For the same reason the B pillar is blacked out, they trying to make the escalade look less trucky and more sleek. if anything i would get rid of the chrome on the door. that makes the chrome below the front 2 windows look less out of place.

i need one of these, like now! now if they'd sell z06 with custom paint jobs like this......
