My one major complaint with the intrepid thus far
Actually my Chryser Concorde got about 26-28 in mostly highway driving. Chris

Jan. 2007 Sales: American Honda
Again, I think that the economy will come into play. I would be very interested at seeing how the Fit does. I would guess that it would take off in sales when the weather breaks. Chris

Jan. 2007 Sales: Chrysler Group
Again, a huge part of the problem is the economy. It is still much weaker than people give it dredit for. Chris

The wrangler 4 dr is an amazing product. Not an SUV fan but I wouldn't mind owning one. Chris

Mini to Offer AWD on 2008 Models
The big issue will be how stout the new powertrains are. The older Brazilian powertrains were not the best. The Mini needs to stay a simple lower priced car IMHO. AWD on it is just Arch Idiot Stupid. But a Clubman would be kinda cool. Chris

MOTOR TREND X-OVER COMPARO
You are right about the rear of the Edge, but the front is hideous. Also, I don't like the Murano Interior either. Of the two the Murano is the much easier fix. Chris

MOTOR TREND X-OVER COMPARO
Let's not give credit where credit is not due. I am not trying to be mean but exactly how is the edge better than the Highlander in any real way? BTW, I am trying to ask a serious question...I just don't see it at all. Chris

MOTOR TREND X-OVER COMPARO
None of the four SUV's mentioned will ever have a home in my garage. I do think Im port Bias exists but I am very unimpressed with the edge. The styling is horrible and the wieght thing IS a serious issue. BTW, I have read reviews that have blasted the GTI for being heavy. Chris

GM Daewoo Soars
...and yes it is good to see daewoo do well. My mother drives a Chevy Aveo and I think it is made by Daewoo. Not a bad car for the $. Chris

GM Daewoo Soars
...or built better than a 1960's fiat. Chris

And the Cheapest Interior Award goes to...
Seriously, I do like the Generals interiors better. Much better. Chris

2008 Scion xB
I own a current gen XB and a GMC Safari van. They look like Momma Shamu and her baby in the driveway. Actually the scion XB is a decent city car, I would consider buying another. However, I am working on the Mrs. and think I have her convinced that we need a Cobalt SS/SC as a replacement for the Safari. Chris

2008 Scion tC
The TC is still much heavier and does not handle as well as the prev. Celica. For a sports car, better options exist. I would buy a 2000-2005 Celica before I would buy a TC. Chris

MINI Cooper D
Probably people remember the olds diesels of the late 70's-early 80's. Seriously, a diesel Cobalt would be a kick ass car. Chris
-
honda CIVIC type R
Exactly. BTW I really like the interior but I doubt I would want it in a car I would buy. I actually like the simple functionality of the Cobalt SS Supercharged interior better. Seriously. Chris

Worth the Wait
The Lancer and the Caddy should be the best of the bunch I would think. Good to see G.M. getting some credit. Chris

98,000 Chevy Cobalt sedans Recalled
Any car, Chevy or Toyota of Honda or Suburu or whatever will have recalls. What counts is that G.M. seems to be trying to do the ethical thing right now and build really high quality vehicles. Chris

Letter to GM from Edmonds.com president
Actually...I might get flamed for this but here goes. My concept of a great G.M. is a smaller company that builds really great premium vehicles at a real profit and gets loyal customers for life. They make a whole lot more on one CTS or Z-06 or H-2 than they do on a Cobalt or an Ion. Part of being profitable is doing things that otyhers aren't. Spending huge effort to compete in overcrowded segments may not be the most profitable thing for G.M. Chris BTW, Part of the cool thing about this being in its infancy is that we are around to watch it happen from the start.

...also...thanks for the info. Chris

Letter to GM from Edmonds.com president
Too bad. The Cobalt SS is a great car...and I am thinking about one as a DD for my wife next year when we get a new car. As for the asian kid in the story...Just more Si's that will see the Cobalt's two sets of round taillights. Chris

C&D Comparison: Aura 4th out 6
Kia build quality is just horrible. They ought to compare two year old cars at some point...I am sure the Kia would place dead last. Besides, there are other cars in the class that should have been tested...Fusion, Mazda 6, etc. Chris

Green Groups Target Toyota Tundra
Not suprised at this...but good to see. Chris

Reviews: 2007 Honda Civic Si Sedan
Actually a Cobalt SS sedan might be kind of a cool commuter car. Chris
-
2007 Dodge Caliber SXT
From everything I've seen I am not impressed with the Caliber interior. Chris

2006 Hyundai Sonata V6
Actually drove a Sonata and was not impressed at all. While I am a big fan of Asian cars I still think Hyundai has a lot of catching up to do to get to even the G6 level. Chris
