Hey mute, I hope you feel better soon. You know, they say more than a mouthful is a waste.
  2. ocnblu replied to AAS's topic in The Lounge
Looks very cool, AAS. You should make a hundred of them and put them on Toyota's front step at their California headquarters, along with some flaming bags of dog poop.

Only if we can do it in January. :o :AH-HA_wink: Of course you're invited, Vipes. Anyone who wants to come is invited. The Philadelphia Auto Show.
  4. How is granny liking her Cobalt so far, Vipes?

Sounds cool man. Philly's about an hour, hour and a half away from me. What do you think about meeting up for the Philly Auto Show? It's January or February, I'll have to check the dates.
  6. OMG that's hilarious. Soooo 70's.
  7. Hehe, yeah, I guess they're trying to get people to imitate the car at first glimpse.
  8. Yup, that's what I was going to say. I haven't read any Japanese car magazines, but I can't imagine them being any more blindly "patriotic" then the British rags. I love to skim the pictures and read the specs in Car and Top Gear, but the reviews are pathetic.

Aw man, cool BBL. I am sure Sixty8 will regale us with his experiences, can't wait to read it! I live just south of town. Sure, if you're ever in the area, let me know. It'd be cool to meet up.
  10. Chekov was a cute little guy! I'd be secret pals with him! :)

A black base model Beretta in good shape... with a red canvas fake convertible top. :puke:
  12. :AH-HA_wink:

Oy Chiefy, not so sure about that. I like the Element... not sure I like it quite enough to buy it.

Very interesting blend of retro and modern. I love the two-door bodystyle.

Well it appears I was wrong-o about the taillights on this car... they are the uber-bland factory ones. The Cobalt sedan screams for the round tails from the coupe. The only things I like about this one are the blacked-out pillars and the rims.
  16. That spoiler makes me nauseous, but not to the point of vomiting as some others do. The taillights really look goofy as hell on this car. The ground effects are too heavy looking.
  17. ocnblu replied to a post in a topic in S.E.M.A
I like the contrasting lower ground effects, the rims, the powertrain enhancements, and the smoked headlight lenses. The color is cool for a show car, but wouldn't be practical for production. Lose the wing. :AH-HA_wink:
  18. ocnblu replied to a post in a topic in S.E.M.A
I like everything except the wing, the stripe, and the rims. I'd like to see everything else on the production GTP. I prefer the subtle factory sedan spoiler if it has to have one atall. The factory 18 inch bright wheels look better than these. I especially like the changes to the front end here.
  19. (hands on hips, tapping foot...) You guys had to have a wing, didn't you? (vomit smiley.) I don't like the rims. The headlights should have been darkened. The rear fascia is ugly. But the WING IS HIDEOUS and totally destroys a beautifully clean, sexy Pontiac. :( <_<
  20. Yup... the Mk IV was cool. In the 60's and 70's, some TV characters were known for their cars as much as anything else... I remember (barely) watching the show "Cannon". The main character always drove a Mk IV. I also like the Mk V.

Yes, I will definitely have them fix the water leak under warranty. The rattles are another story... no dealership tech likes to spend all day driving a customer's vehicle trying to track down noises, I won't be "that customer" anymore after my ION debacle. One thing, pickup truck owners: the spare tire is fully inflated under your truck when new, but, like any tire, could lose air over time, esp with the change of seasons. This could cause it to loosen up on the hoist and bump against the underbody, causing an annoying sound. Check and inflate your spare properly to be sure.
  22. Agreed, the Mk VII was a breakout from the gas crisis induced travesty that was the Mk VI. It was proof that a more responsibly-sized luxury car could have plenty of presence. Same as the '92 Eldorado. I just haven't seen a decently-kept Mk VIII in like forever. In my opinion, Lincoln has always been too close to her lesser sisters to truly compete with Cadillac. Cadillac was always set apart more, CiMORON be damned. The exception being the stunning '61 Continental, of course, and maybe a few others. But the original Zephyr even looked like a Ford.

Yeah, the Glacier Blue looks awesome on the new Impy, I'd like to see that color expand across the line... a Cobalt SS/SC in Glacier Blue with black leather... it would look so hot with the factory rims. I'd like to see an HHR in Emerald Green (like on the TB) or Glacier Blue as well.

    $2.18 here in Lancaster yestaday.
