Didn't Liberace have one of those?

Car Spotting
Coming home from grocery shopping there is an intersection. I turn left to come home, but if you keep going straight, it merges into one lane. So the light is red, la di da, nothing happening, then BOOM, light turns green, and before I can even get turned, a LINCOLN TOWN CAR takes off at full throttle and blasts through the intersection, 4.6 wailing like mad, kicking ass on everything in its wake... I was like dude, are you late for your hair bluing or what?

2006 Hyundai Accent
Inoffensive, with a bit of style. All that's really necessary in this class. I like that interior better than the current Aveo, but may fave in this class is still the new Rio hatchback. The Rio reminds me of a car the Europeans like to keep away from us.

2007 Hyundai Accent SR
The Koreans are sneaking up behind everybody, saying BOO, and leaving them in the dust. That thing is really cool. I like the light clusters, front and back.

fun on the road...
Am I the only smartass on the roads? I like to... make super wide turns in my truck at intersections... like it's a Kenworth or something, just to see the look on ppl's faces. I also like to pass someone reallllly slowly sometimes... Say the speed limit is 55 and they're going 50, I pass them at 51.5 mph. It's fun to act like I'm really gripping the wheel when I pass like I'm going about 95 mph. Anyone else have any fun on the roads?

GMC Acadia?
Fly, with regard to Northstar, I prefer they keep the tradition of exclusive engines in their luxury marque. With the exception of the semi-failed Crossfire, DCX has maintained the tradition. Ford never did with Lincoln, and that, among other things imo, kept Lincoln from becoming a true top-tier luxury brand. Of course Ford has now destroyed Lincoln, so that may be a moot point.

Karmann SUC Concept
Well, I guess this is a preview for the next Lincoln Aviator convertible, an homage to the classic 60's Continental.

Yeahbut... didn't that Studebaker design predate the ghastly Dodge? I thought the Stude came out in '53.

Jeep Compass and Patriot concept sketches
Both concepts are very nice, and I hope to see them... 100% untouched, on the dealer lots. The Patriot is a mini Commander, less cartoonish than the base Liberty. Very nice... and the Compass is a Jeepster reincarnated. Both are real Jeeps, imo.

The joy and beauty of Wagons (estates)
Ted, I didn't laugh at the Cavalier wagon. I have some customers that hold onto their 3.1 powered Cavvy wagons, they love 'em! Just like first-gen S-10 fans who dislike the rounded '94-up, there are some diehard '94 and older Cavvy fans who dislike the rounded '95 and up car. It's good to see some sharp edges on the Cobalt and Colorado... although I admit there are some really stubborn S-10 lovers out there holding a grudge against the Colorado.

The joy and beauty of Wagons (estates)
WHERE is the cool ass little Subie WRX wagon? I am thinking about going lot cruising this evening to see if there are any '06 WRX or Outback Sports on the lot yet. Another excellent picture thread, btw.

I like turkey, bacon and swiss wraps with lettuce and tomato and black pepper. Nothing else. C'mon, there's gotta be more life left in this ol' thread. Anyone else brave enough? Am I the only one with big enough cajones to show my nips? http://www.cheersandgears.com/public/style_emoticons/default/AH-HA_wink.gif

I was going to take this down but Oldsmoboi immortalized it. Unless I can talk him into taking his post quoting me down as well. I went over the line with the ribbing of our Nos.

I'm Leaving
Well, I can't say every guy at the campground looked good naked, but there were definitely enough to keep me interested! Nothing happened though. I was a good boy!

Lot of great stuff in this thread since I've been gone. Nos, you're too young for me. I'm sure there are plenty of boys your age who've had their eye on you. Great pic, z. Looks like you had fun!

Friends & Lovers...
I've been down this road a few times in my life. It starts as a friendship, then grows until I find I want to be with the guy all the time (nothing sexual, just a mutually caring, close friendship). He seems like he feels the same way, at least for a while. Then he gets a girlfriend (it's always a single guy this happens with) and it's all over. I can't blame them, (well maybe a little for accepting all my attention) I have to blame myself for setting myself up for heartache over and over. Paulie, I hope you can find a way to let him know you love him. WHAT IF... he feels the same way as you do? Let him know... either you win his love, or lose his friendship, which is probably better for you in the long run if he doesn't feel the same. I've been told "nothing about me is gay" by a gay friend. It's hard on guys like me sometimes who aren't "out there" and obvious.

Question...
There are lots of companies that recondition aluminum rims. We use Keystone when we need to replace an aluminum wheel that's been damaged in an accident. They usually look great, can't tell them from new, and they're much cheaper than new OE.

I'm Leaving
I can definitely say that camping, naked and otherwise, is an absolute blast. Getting back to nature is something we should all try more than once.

Car Spotting
Just got home a while ago from camping, had fun! Interesting spots at the campground: '76 Cutlass Supreme coupe, yellow/tan. '71 Chevelle SS454 convertible, TH400, in that intense factory gold with black stripes and black vinyl bucket interior. Very sweet. '87 Grand National T-top in top shape. Late model Blazer four door... COVERED in mud, front bumper valance broken off, exhaust hanging low, big "REDNECK" sticker on the back window.

Car Spotting
Our goofy secretary (the one that flirts with me bigtime, has a blue Cobalt sedan) ruined a young man's life yesterday, and she didn't even realize it. His yellow Cobalt coupe had been hit from behind. We had to replace the rear bumper cover and absorber and repair the rear body panel. Anyhoo... When he and his mom came in to pick it up last evening, she blurts out: "I almost parked my blue Cobalt where yours is and told you that we decided to change color schemes for you because BLUE IS A BETTER COLOR FOR A BOY..." The poor kid gets a funny look on his face and says "Yeah, we looked for a blue one, but every time we found one it was sold..." This one statement will prolly make this kid hate his car forever now because this ditzy broad made a stupid comment. Doesn't she realize that guys, especially college freshmen, are very sensitive to having their manhood called into question with regards to their vehicle? And the kid's mom was standing there... she helped him buy the car. The mom prolly wanted to have a catfight with her right there in the waiting room. I just wanted to smack my fellow employee right then and there and defend the kid, but I waited until they left, then I told her what's UP. Um, oh yeah. I spotted a yellow '05 Cobalt LS 5 speed coupe that's prolly going to be for sale soon.
