Good cars that sell poorly
Yep, still smaller than thee Compass apparently, 25.8 cubic feet where the CRV,RAV4,Rogue are almost 40. I don't think any other compact is as small.

Good cars that sell poorly
I think the Cherokee's smallish cargo area limits its appeal to families. With the Compass as good as it is now and almost the same size, the Cherokee should grow a bit next gen and better compete with the class leaders. It is very appealing otherwise IMO.

VW Golf and its variants including the Sportwagen, GTI etc. Very popular abroad. Somewhat popular in Canada. Not so much in the US.

February 2018: Audi of America
Wow I didn't realize how big Audi was in China, #1 over Mercedes and BMW for now, over 500k units moved last year there alone for Audi. Looks like it will be a bigger market for Cadillac than USA as well moving forward. The CT6 sells much better there than USA. Perhaps North America will get the Escalade and whatever sells in China as its model range soon.

Kia Reveals 2019 K900 Before New York: Comments
They really need a CUV or two above Sante Fe class at this point, not more luxury sedans.

Kia Reveals 2019 K900 Before New York: Comments
Nice but will remain a small niche seller. It will probably get a bit of a sales bump in its domestic market, but even in South Korea this will probably sell a few hundred units a month after a year or two on the market.

GM News: Rumorpile: GM's Maven Plans an AirBnb-Like Service for Your Car
Rent is $2250 for 700 sq feet. With that we are just barely cash flow positive. Real estate has gone nuts here, another reason why many young people don't buy cars, they are too much of a luxury when spending that much on their residence. The maintenance fee of the spot would be more per sq foot than the condo itself. We might have been able to rent it out for $200 a month.

GM News: Rumorpile: GM's Maven Plans an AirBnb-Like Service for Your Car
In my urban environment where these services and Uber flourish, we bought a downtown condo a few years ago for investment, it would have cost 80k extra to get one parking spot and $75 a month extra in condo maintenance fees. Car insurance another $120 a month on average...more for twenty-somethings.

Buick News: Buick To Drop Name Badge Beginning in 2019
Wow, only half of what they sold in 2001, they have faded badly in the US but then they sold a lot of rental grade meh like the Century back then. Good thing they sell 1.2 million annually in China (were a top dog there but have been passed by VW and most Japanese makes).

GM News: Rumorpile: GM's Maven Plans an AirBnb-Like Service for Your Car
Meh.. I like the car by the hour rentals because I can grab a cub van half a mile from my house, pick up something from Lowes/Home Depot etc, drop it off at home and bring the van back within an hour for about $20. I was thinking of trying Maven's current offering because they are in the same lot, but it would just be for the experience as they only offer a Malibu and XT5 in that lot.
