I spent my 11th year summer at Berkley College of Music, which was where I wanted to go after high school. I was a highly creative but underskilled musician. Was told - "No! Rock and Roll was going to die and there was no future"........this was 1976  .....not that I now think I would have made it but I didnt need the kick in the teeth, I was very serious and hard working at things I enjoyed. So then I thought well, I always loved the woods and wood products so up to Paul Smiths we went, one of the easts good forestry schools. I was told there by their rep. that Forestry boomed in the 60's and was a dead business so there was no reason to pursue forestry. They tried to steer me toward hotel management..... me the loaner....with no people skills........yaright. So fed up with being told no, I got a job, moved out and got on with life. Within 5 years I was in the middle of a booming forestry business........only I was on the bottom of the totum pole as a producer, at the bottom where all the mud runs too and very little of the gold. It wasnt all bad. I was fortunate to wind up doing and living a life I loved.......takes all kinds to make a world.....when others stay the hell out of your world. Oh well, just a number

A public school over which my father presided. I beleive there should be laws against this, but it had no negitive effect on my sister. It was a good school but was mostly old teachers that taught to the brainiacs only and bored the hell out of normal people. Kinda like that noise that comes from adults in Charlie Brown. Now the teachers at the school I went to during the summer really knew how to keep someones interest and there I achieved Regents scores in high 80's & low 90's. I still hated school and was too easily distracted. Cars, guitars and girls
  6. Now thats a good American boy right there ! B)
  7. Damn socialist Unions !
  8. They have giant hydrolic car crushers for this sort of thing.
  9. I wonder if hes puting this inside of generator, as the core ? too much heat ?
  10. The larger the diameter of this the more torque it would have.
  11. I see now, this is pretty swift. Now they need to utilize the ore tecnology used in professional chainsaws and that inner body can be made of light alloy with the cylinders coated for wear resistance. Which may very well be what they are doing. Now we have the heads to seal, thats gotta be the problem area. Rotary seals with chambers to isolate, hmm? I like this guy !
  12. Ya know I still dont completely get it. What makes the pistons stroke, I know its got to do with the cam halfs but I dont see them in the working clip. then how did they turn this pump into an engine ? Maybe the cam halfs ride on the pins ?
  13. What do I need an excuse for ?
  14. Yea, but even more scary is the mind set they've given degrees to and set loose on the world. Educated idiots are a dime a dozen not unlike those who are ignorant for other reasons, be it upbringing or distraction in HS or what not. Because someone has memorized phrases from a book and faked their way through a bunch of tests does not qualify them as great thinkers. Its does however seem to make them think they are quite special, so perhaps that is a form of greater thinking ? BTW - So hows that retro Camaro coming ? You know, combination of 68 Camaro, Nomad concept.
  15. Maybe, just maybe there really is a God.
  16. I just saw first Lucerne commercial on network, I was on phone so I cant evaluate.
  17. That would be a handling nightmare. We have steadly moved to less and less sidewall on tires to eliminate give at the tires. Why would we now want floppy wheels ? Theres a function on all automobiles called a suspension, it is designed to absorb impacts while maintaining excellent control. It would be far cheaper to go to low pressure balloon tires if we want people floating around on the highways
  18. So you were pruning the shubs at Blockbuster video got hungry and bartered a video or two for lunch ? Then got fired ? Did you explain to them that you were trying to be more globalized and fit into the new way of doing things ? :AH-HA_wink:
  19. Yea, so many of these brainiacs here seem to have a hard time comprehending what GM is and what it will not be when they get done with their little follies. When they are done they will not be GM any more so whats the point ?
  20. Hey ya know ? How about that dual quad or quad 8 or what ever it was called ? Believed to be the predesessor to the A*. Someone posted the only print about the engine on the old board but that is lost and I never saved it here myself. That would actually be period correct. No doubt the 4 litre IRL engine would be insanely competitive.........like wow !........10500 rpm..... 600+hp.....imagine the gear set you could use in that hooked to the Corvette 6sp  :o totally sick !
  21. I see now its got something to do with the cam halfs. It is a 12 piston engine and I understand what double ended means now. Very very interesting indeed !
  22. Now thats interesting, I want to play because I dont understand it by looking at it, and thats just the kind of thing to stimulate me. Maybe a rotary ? What the heck is going on in this town ? We need a revolutionary idea.
  23. Double ended may mean its reversable like a Detroit diesel was. Everything could be bolted to either end of the block, Im not sure why this would be needed, if it is what double ended means ? What baffels me is 18X24 @ 100 lbs. Thats small and light but much casting can be saved by eliminating water jacket. Id be concerned about reliability. It cant even be 3 litre I dont believe. Deutz diesel was a widely used air cooled diesel of decent reputation. At 100 lbs it doesnt sound like the crank or other necessary iron parts are strong enough. Well I hope they pull it off not pull it over.
  24. 19 billion, so that will last about 3 years......if the medical and drug unions allow them to keep it that long. Im sure they are already chomping at the bit to get their hands on every last penny. Just think of all the advertising and drug promotion they can do with all that money This is America on Drugs ! tic toc tic toc
