  1. Such a dangerous website.... more hours gone forever.
  2. '56: nicely done. '55: really, really bad.
  3. Point taken. But the quality of this build is stunning.
  4. Nicer yes, but still not my cup-o-tea. Top half looks good, the bottom not so much.
  5. http://www.pro-touring.com/showthread.php?83294-1957-Eldorado-Brougham
  6. The lower bumpers look like crap in general, but my real gripe is the huge swath of chrome that serves as a sort of end cap on the Chevy bumper. The GMC does not suffer this glaring hunk of ugly - its bumper (though over large) is much better integrated.
  7. Happy Birthday, Cort!
  8. Very cool!
  9. The advent of the lower, longer, wider theme really marks the start of my favorite era of car design. That said, I do appreciate certain 50s designs - usually the cleaner ones. For example, I much prefer a '55 Chevy to a '57.
  10. The Olds and Pontiac rears are mild compared to the over the top '59 Chevy rear, though.... Their design is certainly more mainstream and less radical, but the details looked tacked-on and gaudy where both the Chevy and Buick look fluid and entire. The detailing on the Olds and Pontiac seem like afterthoughts.
  11. I really hope the '14s do away with the "enormo bumper" in the front - really ruins the look of the Chevy.
  12. Ha! I just prefer a cleaner look, and frankly, the rear views on both the Olds and the Pontiac are kinda ugly - especially the Olds.
  13. I actually prefer the clean looks of the Chevy and the Buick - don't much care for the rest of GM's '59 fullsize offerings.
  14. Hope things fall your way, Roger.
  15. Not into the painted chrome, just the shapes and the angle of the shot. It takes guts to release a design like that - something lacking in the industry now.
  16. Beyond goofy.
  17. Glovebox. That's where it was on both my '78 Chevy and my '79 GMC. However, the adhesive gives up and the label comes loose - so good luck.
  18. I like almost all of them...
  19. Yep. Say what you like about them, the Gen 4 cars are true performance cars.

Fun stuff. Lots of videos to get lost in if you follow the first link... Ford vs, Chevy truck competitions, Duramax-powered musclecars...
  21. EPIC FAIL. coming from the owner of an extended cab pickup with rear opening extended cab doors. Completely agree.
  22. Not much to talk about until we see the car - we already know the rest.
