GM sales chief says automaker needs all brands
I think HUMMER is okay to keep around because it's profitable most likely, but Saab has done nothing but bleed red ink.

Fresh load of Camaro Pics at Autodeadline
Those pics make it look even better. Some of them are just sinister.

Spy Photos: 2008 Buick Enclave
It looks excellent, and I'm glad to see that it looks like the V6 models will have nice-looking dual exhuasts. Is it just me or does the grill look slightly bigger and bolder here?

*UPDATED* New Spy Photos: 2007 GMC Sierra
Wow, that is a HUGE truck. I can't tell a whole lot about the styling other than it looks really bold and nothing like the Yukon at all.

Current Nissan Titan rebates
The difference with the Silverado is that it's very old though. The Titan is still relatively new to the market. I bet the rebate jumps even more when the T900 trucks and Tundra come market.

Trademarks (December Update)
I merged the two threads together, but the order of posts is kind of messed up since it goes by time. I don't think it really matters though.

Could this mean something as well?
Interesting. I think it'd be good to change the name from ION as it doesn't have any sort of a positive image.

New '07/'08 Chrysler Sebring spy pics!
The interior looks rather block and flat, like most Chrysler interiors these days. I can't tell much about the exterior, but the grill and front end looks interesting. Thanks for the pics, carstar, and welcome to C&G!

The Help Camino Thread
I just thought of this, and I don't know what your price range is, but used 2004 SRXs might be an option. There are even a few V8 models on Autotrader (I searched the whole country because I don't know what ZIP code is near you) with less than 20k miles and under $30k.

GM Nets Two Awards In Chi Town
That Solstice looks really good in that pic. Red is much better than yellow for the GXP.
-
Chicago: 2007 Toyota Tundra
The interior is interesting, but I think most truck buyers would perfer something more simplistic like the GMT900s. The exterior isn't bad, but I'm not in love with it. The engine seems strong enough, though we haven't seen final figures yet.

The Help Camino Thread
You're selling your GTO and Firehawk, or just others? I'd probably point you towards the Magnum if you need a wagon and want some fun. The TB SS is a good choice too depending on price.

Where's my affordable Pontiac coupe?
By fall you will likely be able to buy a gently used 2004 GTO for $19k or less. I doubt you're going to find anything newer than a 2002 325Ci for that price. My GTO is a hell of a lot of fun (I can get sideways through turns without trying too hard ), I just wish it had an M6 so it was even more fun.

G6 Convertible price announced
Oh, my bad. Hadn't seen it posted and last time GM announced a price in Autonews it hadn't been announced elsewhere (Escalade).

C&G Exclusive: The 2008 Dodge Challenger
How much capacity does Brampton have? It can't be too much unless they reduce production of the other 3 cars built there. Honestly, there isn't a ton of market for a $30k+ RWD V8 coupe that doesn't carry a premium nameplate. Even if the GTO had the styling that all the diehards wanted, I don't think sales would have been that much better. Maybe it would have sold 18k units instead of 6k units, but either way the market isn't that big. If the Challenger really comes in at a plump 4100 lbs, I see no reason to buy one over a Mustang or (by that time) used GTO. And I doubt the interior will be better than the GTOs given what DCX has put out lately.

G6 Convertible price announced
In GM's Autonews advertisement it states that the convert arrives this spring with a price tag of $28,490 including destination.

Chicago: 2007 Hyundai Accent 3-Door
If GM would bring the new Aveo in 3-door form here it would destroy this (the Yaris will too).

.....
I'll take an E55 AMG wagon over that any day.

Fortune Mag: The Tragedy of General Motors
Umm, wow, I would hope with $20 billion in the bank and over $100 billion in assets that GM wouldn't go bankrupt this year. I really don't see GM going bankrupt for at least another 5 years, as $120 billion is a lot of money, and within 5 years I think GM will be turned around and unleashing its own assault.

First Cadillac BLS
Are we sure that they're Saab wheels? The wheels have 14 spokes, but it's really just 7 split in half to make 14 (and Caddies normally have 7 spokes). If you go to Cadillac Europe (cadillaceurope.com) and go to the BLS page, it has similar wheels (though not exactly the same) so I think it's possible those could be the right wheels.

GM Unveils All-New 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche, Makes
There's a small picture of it in black on the Chevy website... looks great.
-
3valves
We haven't heard much about it recently, and I wouldn't be surprised if it got put on hold given GM's current money problems.
-
Caliber SRT-4
You think so? I figured it'd be over $25k considering you can get a non-SRT Caliber to like $23k (if I remember right). I guess $30k might be pushing it, but you aren't going to see any discounts on it, and I'm guessing with Magnum sales slowing that they'll be discounts on Magnums by then, which would put the prices pretty close to each other.
-
Caliber SRT-4
It will be interesting to see how close to $30k this comes in at. If it's $30k (which seems possible given the price of the other Calibers) or close to it, I think most people would just opt for a Magnum RT if they wanted the utility of a wagon.

Chicago: 2007 Nissan Quest
The Quest needs a total redesign to be helped. No refresh is going to help out the awful interior.
