BELAIR CONCEPT?
There was talk of one, but I think they wanted the Camaro to have the spotlight. The Camaro probably would have overshadowed the Bel Air too, had there been one. Maybe next year.

Camaro tops GM's rwd list; Buick Velite concept, P
Umm, Saturn? Please make sure Buick, Pontiac and Chevy each have at least one RWD car before Saturn gets a green light for one. The list from suppliers doesn't have any Saturn's though, so maybe they are giving the others their fair share of cars before Saturn: Buick Velite convertible Buick flagship sedan Pontiac Grand Prix Redesigned Pontiac GTO Chevrolet Camaro Chevrolet Impala That looks very similar to the old Zeta list.

Anyone seen a Tahoe (07) at a dealer yet?
My dealer got one in yesterday. It was an LT but appeared to have pretty much everything but the 20" wheels. It had NAV and the rearview camera, so it had to be pretty loaded to the gills (it didn't have the window sticker yet, so I don't know for sure what all it had).

Official Chrysler Aspen Official Pictures
The interior looks better than what I was expecting, but it doesn't hold a thing next to the GMT900s. The exterior still looks like crap.

There's no need for a Buick minivan w/the Enclave
That was the case, but not anymore. The Saturn van has been cut.

Autoweek NAIAS Awards
That's what I thought, but apparantly you can't win both?

Autoweek NAIAS Awards
http://www.autoweek.com/apps/pbcs.dll/arti...E/60113003/1057 BEST IN SHOW: Chevrolet Camaro Concept Only twice in AutoWeek’s long and illustrious tradition of awarding favorite auto show models with big, fat, shiny trophies has a car won by unanimous vote. The first? That would be the Porsche Boxster concept back in 1993, which puts this Chevrolet Camaro in pretty darn good company. We certainly aren’t alone in our admiration. At one point during the press preview, it looked as though the number of top-tier designers from competing automakers outnumbered members of the media swarming about the car. That had to have the bow-tie brass smiling. And if the 400-hp Corvette LS2 6.0-liter V8 found under the concept’s hood makes its way into a production rendition, we will be smiling right along with them. Of course we have to wait a few years to see if it really happens. Fingers crossed. BEST CONCEPT: Dodge Challenger Concept MOST SIGNIFICANT: Toyota Camry MOST FUN: Nissan Urge Concept

2006 NAIAS: 2007 Honda Fit
Nah... that award has already been designated for the Camry.
-
2007 Chevrolet Avalanche
The front end looks the same as the Tahoe to me, at least from the small pics. Didn't someone say it was supposed to be more aggressive looking?

The NOS Perspective: NAIAS '06
Was the crowd around the Enclave pretty big?

2006 NAIAS: Saturn VUE Green Line
How am I contradicting myself? I never said anything about the RX330 being bad. If it does share cues with the RX, it sure uses them a hell of a lot better: This is probably the only time a Buick has thoroughly kicked a Lexus' ass. Personally, I don't see too many similarities. The Enclave makes the RX look like a piece of crap.

2006 NAIAS: Buick Enclave Concept
He's says it in a video on GMTV, but I don't think he means it will be on the road, just that the production model will debut. Maybe at LAIAS 2006 #2?

Lutz on GMTV about Enclave
That's an interesting thought, but if the 3.6 is making 280-290hp in them and we have RWD cars above them with V8s, do they still need those V8s?
-
GM expecting to save $4 billion in 2006
If they're going to save $4 billion in costs vs. 2005, then I think the GMT900s may be able to make up rest of the difference and at least have GM pull close to even.

Which Camaro is the best looking
'69 is probably my favorite. I'm not very fond of the 3rd gens.

Lutz on GMTV about Enclave
If the HF V6 is making 280-300HP then it will be above 300HP in Cadillacs I would assume. EDIT: Interesting that he said all the leather around the center stack would stay. I wasn't expecting that. He doesn't seem to want to mention the UV8. "We don't have a V8 that can fit right now.

Problems with C&G Server?
Yeah, I had it twice tonight, but only for a couple minutes. That's why Josh is working on getting the site it's own server instead of some crappy hosting company that we're on now.

2006 NAIAS: 2007 Honda Fit
I think the Fit will just steal lower-level Civic sales, as I suspect the Aveo has done to lower-level Cobalt sales. The interior is about the same as the Civics, and the exterior doesn't look like an egg (though it's exactly attractive, at least it's distinct), so unless you hate how it looks, I see little to no reason to buy a Civic unless you want the Si.
-
2006 NAIAS: Acura RDX Prototype
The exterior looks like an SUV version of the RL. I would have liked it to wear to TL's face (or at least closer to the TL than RL). The interior reminds me of the Range Rover with the center stack "dissapering" for a little while. GM's 2.0L turbo Ecotec outpowers the VTEC 2.3L turbo. What is the press gonna do about that?

Chicago/New York are next, what should we expect?
Sweet, we get to see the Silverado and Sierra in less than a month? Too bad neither of the Lambdas are on there.
-
2006 NAIAS: China's Geely 7151
The interior looks like it came out of a 1990 Kia or Hyundai.

Saturn VUE Green Line
The VUE Green Line is going to be a great value. Those doing the calculations forget to take off the money the government pays hybrid buyers. Sure, it will take a while to pay off the money, but if it's only a $2k option and the government pays you $2k when you buy it, it's basically more power and better fuel economy for free. Plus, it starts paying for itself right away. I just listened to GMTV and an auto analyst said he thinks it could become the most significant production debut at the show.

Kerkorian Calls for Drastic GM Overhaul
Saab cerainly isn't turning a profit in the US. If it was, we'd be hearing about it. Saab should just be removed from the the US, IMO, and GM can offer the dealers Saturn because most likely the dealers are relatively upscale if they're selling Saab so it wouldn't affect Saturn's rep as having good service. Saab must be making a profit in Europe because we've heard some rumors that Saab globally is going to turn a profit. But, I wonder how much more that profit would be if you didn't have some of it removed from the loss in the US.

GMX386
GM has stuff other than the Enclave coming for '08: CTS, new VUE, major Cobalt MCE, and NG Malibu off the top of my head.
