16K mile 2001 Pontiac Firebird Formula
I happened to be in the area of this dealership today so I stopped by to see it and get some pictures. Overall a very nice example for a 12 year old F-body. Here's my online album link: http://s19.photobucket.com/user/GMguy74/library/2001%20Pontiac%20Firebird%20Formula

Ram News: Ram Wonders About A Raptor Competitor
I see plenty of Ford Raptors in southern NJ, and there's one in the single family homes of my community (golf course estates).

Am I crazy for wanting this?!?!? (2009 Hummer H3T Alpha)
For some reason, can't edit my post above. I got the price wrong; it is not $29,998 as I wrote (that was for a different H3T I looked at online). This one is $31,998. I agree Camino - way too much for an orphaned brand. $25,998 and I might be test driving this thing If I were to spend over $30k for a pre-owned vehicle, I'd seriously consider this: 2008 Cadillac Escalade EXT with 43k miles for $33,660 http://www.carsense.com/used-car/2008-Cadillac-Escalade-EXT-EXT-NAV-C08840M/ I pass this Carsense dealership every day; it's located in my town. I notice everything they put out in the front line and saw this on the way in to work this morning. If I were seeking a $30k loan for a preowned vehicle, I think this Caddy is worth it over the Hummer. However, I said I wanted to get a new 2014 or 2015 GMC Sierra Crew Cab 4WD, so I am holding back (for now!). I think I'd like to go check out that Escalade though

16K mile 2001 Pontiac Firebird Formula
http://www.teamtoyota.net/used/Pontiac/2001-Pontiac-Firebird-8fea50030a0a006501f7456fa35f1691.htm I'd like to own this car. I know it has an automatic and is a non-WS6 Ram Air car, but there's just something about the option content of this bright red Pontiac that calls out to me. $15,726 however does not have my name written all over it

Am I crazy for wanting this?!?!? (2009 Hummer H3T Alpha)
Dealer website: http://www.starcarhellertown.com/preowned/index.cfm/action/view_2009_hummer_h3/vehicle/5GNEN13L498126220/# Autoshopper.com: http://www.autoshopper.com/used-trucks/2009_HUMMER_H3_T_Alpha_Hellertown_PA-27229441.htm Website selling price - $31,998; Internet requested quote - $29,998; 50k miles, 5.3L V8 (Alpha model) I've been keeping an eye on this one for a couple of weeks. Price started at $35,990 but didn't last long there. I've wanted a Hummer H3T Alpha since they were introduced, and I can still "see" the red one that was on the turntable at the 2009 NYIAS. I followed a white, non-Alpha H3T for a while on my commute home last night. If I went with this purchase, there'd be no new 2014/2015 GMC Sierra.

Cars that are going missing
I enjoyed my trip to Downtown Phoenix and Scottsdale last November 29 through December 2 mainly because of the vehicles I got to see still as daily drivers (the car show in Scottsdale was fantastic). There were so many "classic" cars and trucks being driven around as daily's that I never see here in the Northeast except for car shows. Truly a wonderful addition to my work trip.

Convertible Verano?
I love this convertible!! GM, bring this over as a companion to the Buick Verano sedan. I'd do one hell of a job convincing the wife that THIS is the Buick to own

Sweet Young Lady
Ah, for me I find the tail end unrefined. Like all of the development money went to the frontend and very little was left for the rear (taillights, etc). This is the T/A I speak of Supposedly my neighbor/friend's brother has a '12 Camaro-turned-Trans Am in his Pontiac collection up in northern NJ. He was supposed to bring it down to Atco Raceway in early November for the B-O-P Show, but he runs a construction company that was tasked with Superstorm Sandy clean-up plus a lot of the roads near him were still closed off due to downed trees and flooding. I will be seeing this car this year for myself

Manufacture Logo Font Styles?
I want a window decal for my front windshield. I have space for up to 16" in length and 5" in height (will make sure the letters are sized appropriately so that it doesn't look scrunched or distorted). I got the idea from years of watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. GMC's for years have towed the floats through the parade and in the upper center of the windshield is a white "GMC" decal: I don't want it as big as the one on the Yukon though.

Manufacture Logo Font Styles?
Agreed. I found one close enough for my needs (see below). Thanks dfelt! In my Google search I did find that post reply, but felt it was no where close enough to what I was looking for. You've got that right! When I finally found that typefont, it was no where close to what GMC's logo looks like. So on that note, with more investigation using Google and looking at many responses about the topic, I found one that is very close to what the GMC logo looks like: http://www.fonts.com/font/mark-simonson-studio/changeling-neo#product_717044 Thanks for the input guys, I do appreciate it1

I don't know BMWs that well, so you almost got me! It seems that the '14 GMC Sierra and the '14 Chevy Silverado were the same ones I saw in Philadelphia the first week of February. Thanks for posting

Need some advice on how to compensate for "free" service
Well, "Steve" installed the remanufactured alternator last Saturday and the car sounds and operates much better. A $25 gift card for a local sports bar/grille was given as my token of appreciation. I can cook but I don't think that is something he'd want. I figured a lot of the firefighters talk about the bar and wings at this place, and it's a local business, so I would support them by having him go there for some "refreshment". Thanks to all that offered your suggestions and advice

Was the new 2014 GMC Sierra on display? If yes, was it getting a lot of attention? Do you recall what color it was? I will likely go again this weekend and I will check. I don't think they did, but not sure. If the manufacturer's are not supporting it, more than likely the '14 Sierra/Silverado won't be there. I'm use to the Philly auto show and of course the NYIAS!!

Manufacture Logo Font Styles?
Does anyone know what font type/style the GMC logo is in? I was looking in a catalog this past weekend of different font types or styles and could not find one that resembles the GMC block style. Does anyone have a clue how to find this out?

Spring 2013 Projects
Other than some preventive maintenance items and maybe some replacement items, both the Envoy and G6 will be due for their annual wash, claybar and wax jobs. Since I will be going to South Carolina the first week of April for my step-son's graduation from USMC Basic Training, I will be handling the cleaning of the vehicles during weekends throughout April.

Project Regal LS (1998)
The remanufactured alternator was installed last Saturday, and this is the quietest I've ever heard this car! It rides very quiet now and is what I expect of being an older-designed Buick. Now that the weather has turned warmer during the daytime (mid-50s), I will take advantage of it soon to vacumm and clean up the interior a bit. Other than that, an exterior detail/wax/polish is next on the list. Since I'm planning to keep the car until he comes home from Basic Training (April 5), I will hold off on the detail job until the weekend before we head to South Carolina and park it in the garage so he's surprised at how great it looks.
