  1. ... this one is 99% spot on to what I'm looking for: http://southjersey.c...3416823982.html 1979 GMC Sierra Classic 15 4WD Short Bed Wideside Here are the pictures from the ad but I had the seller send to me via email: I say 99% because it is missing factory A/C. What do you think? Worth the $3,700 asking price?
  2. @ ocnblu!!
  3. One week to go!! The excitement can't build any more
  4. torrential
  5. Happy belated Birthday!! Hoping it was a great one
  6. I'm actually starting to like the design of this car more. The wife is absolutely in love with it and lately has been telling others about it. I don't know if we'll make it to the Philly Auto Show January 19 before we go and check this car out in person (dealership visit). My salesman will email or call me once they get it in.
  7. Well, if you need a decoder ring for that message...
  8. I know the answer!!! (hint: It's not him )
  9. Price is Right
  10. Well, once I get a chance to see it (maybe in another week), if it's something I "have to have" (my birthday is coming up soon ), I'll have to do some wheelin' and dealin' to make it happen. Of course it sitting there for another week could lead to them lowering the price again on their own
  11. Awesome colors & rims. Very nice example of this model
  12. So, I am going to Scottsdale Saturday evening!! I have a 2-hour window to utilize, so with an estimated 25-minute drive that gives me an hour to see as much as I can. I spoke with the "main" woman from the travel company that has arranged all the logistics for the event earlier today and she arranged for a car to picl me up at the hotel at 4:00 PM. It will pick me up at 6:00 PM and bring me back in time for the dinner/keynote speaker. I'm so excited to be able to go to a car show while in Arizona Expect pictures posted here sometime Sunday or Monday.
  13. SO I "built" the Sub in Edmunds.com's used car appraisal site and it gave me a dealer retail of $5,400!!! So I guess them selling it for under that amount is good. BUT, I still say that this very basic vehicle with very little options is priced too high ($4,000 seems better for some reason). I still want to check it out reagrdless
  14. Sounds like fun!! Can't wait to see the pictures
  15. Okay, so most of you are going to hate this, but I kinda like it. It has a very toy-like quality about it. The one thing I don't like are the wings, but I get what he's trying to show there. I definitely like the wheels, steering wheel, and chrome surround/A-pillar treatment.
  16. Price has been lowered - but still too high for what you're getting - to $5,822. I was trying to check this out last Sunday, and I was even in the Cherry Hill area (Christmas shopping), but on the other side away from where this truck was and time did not allow a side trip. I'm in Phoenix until Sunday, but the flight brings me home too late for a trip to the dealership. If it's still there next weekend and I have the time, I plan to go see it.
  17. So I'm here in Phoenix. What a beautiful place! Can't believe all of the classic iron on the roads - some restored, some not - all being used. Never see that in Jersey Weather is great and I've walked around just a little bit to take some photos for the family back home to see. 80 degrees and gorgous outside - haven't experienced this nice weather for almost two months. Love seeing all of the classics on the road, and hoping I'll find a way to Scottsdale Saturday night (not likely with work-related responsibilities).

  19. The visibility out of some cars these days precludes that. I like this feature on the full-size pickups, seeing as how high they sit in the rear it really helps with backing up. Of course people have been backing pickup trucks for a long time without them, but with higher rear ends and tall bed sides & tailgates, the camera is becoming a useful option (I would say the same with the full-size SUVs). It's one option I definitely would include if I were buying a 2013 GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab 4WD SLE model, and I'm hoping it's included as standard equipment on the upcoming, all-new 2014 Sierras.
  20. I will definitely be looking at Saturday's schedule and a way to get to Scottsdale. I'll have to see if the hotel has a rental car desk there, though I'm sure it won't be cheap either. The trip is being arranged by a travel company that will have members on-site, and that I know. I'll bet good money one of the two will have a rental car (now what will it take to get them to drop me off? )

  22. Wow, that car show (cruise) is not far from where I'm staying (about a 24 minute drive according to Yahoo! Maps). I'm very tempted and interested in going to that; I'll have to see what the conference schedule is and how I can reasonably get there (do you think a taxi would cost a lot?). I always enjoy a car-related event when I'm in a different state - don't get to go to many outside of the NJ-PA areas. What about the Scottsdale International Auto Museum? If I make it to the cruise show, the museum seems to be very close by.
