2014 Chevrolet Silverado: A Bolder Visualization of GM's Next Generation Pickup Truck (Carscoop)
Well, I told you I read a lot about these new trucks on the 'Net. GM wants to be all secretive with these new trucks

2014 Chevrolet Silverado: A Bolder Visualization of GM's Next Generation Pickup Truck (Carscoop)
A majority of the talk on the 'net leads one to believe GM will offer three engines for the 1500 series full-size pickups: an all new 4.3L V6, a 5.3L V8, and a 6.2L V8. Of course this is all speculation until GM releases information on the trucks (December 13th is the official reveal, but what powertrain info will be shared at that point is not known).

This Week Has Exceptionally Sucked and Hostess Isn't Here to Comfort Me
Such a shame. Tastykake was in a similar shape a year ago, and I'm not really sure how solid of a company they are today. While I like Hostess products, especially the Hostess CupCakes and Twinkies along with Wonder Bread, I'm more of a Tastykake guy. From what I've heard from NBC10 Philadelphia news today, it's likely the recipes and brands will be sold off in the liquidation of the company. This could mean that the Hostess products we do love will be made by someone else, but you don't know if the quality and taste will be the same.

I'm not saying I would do anything rash to get my hands on this thing...
If you desire a Hummer H1 slide in camper, I think you'll find this one more to your liking:

Ah, snow! It's beauty shows in how everything is covered in a blanket of white. Then comes the Northeastern drivers to ruin the beauty! Thanks for the "winter" pictures. Every year I wish for a white Christmas, makes that holiday extra special (and not to mention my birthday, which is two days beforehand).

See the USA in Your Chevrolet: The 1950s Quiz
http://www.peoplequiz.com/trivia-quizzes-2969-See_the_USA_in_Your_Chevrolet_The_1950s.html A little fun, 10-question quiz. Most of it is pretty common knowledge to the GM/Chevy enthusiast. I will admit I got 9/10 correct!! Something fun to do to pass the time.

Gobble Spots...November 2012
Great spot! But unless I'm mistaken, what you saw was a 1955 1st Series Chevrolet 3600 truck, not a 1954 model year. I'm basing this off the side hood emblem, which is the style used on the '55 1st Series (and of course different from the '54 models). Again, great find and it would look awesome restored.

A present, just for being me!!
Thanks for the replies, guys I don't believe I will be wearing this hat at all. I'm waiting for the back story on this item, but at this point assuming it was a GM company-only exclusive item. As such, it's likely to be added as part of my collection of GMC related items on display. And I already don't wear my hats backwards I totally agree. I have never asked for a free hand out, and being recognized in this manner makes the appreciation so much more meaningful. Now if GMC wants to follow-up, I'd be more than happy to accept a GMC Sierra pickup Thanks, dfelt. I know there are bigger and more enthusiastic GMC fans/owners out there, but it's nice to be recognized for what I personally enjoy. I too am a total GM guy (hence why my name is GMTruckGuy and not GMCTruckGuy, though I'll almost always prefer the GMC truck first) that finds beauty in most of the vehicles sold under the GM banner. The good thing with my wife is that she likes GM vehicles too (though she is more open to other manufacturers than I am ), so I get to have my GMC Truck and she gets to pick another GM-brand automobile to occupy our garage

A present, just for being me!!
So, last Wednesday I check my personal email in the late morning and find this message waiting for me: Now I have purchased several items from the GMC Collection web site over the past couple of years (http://www.gmccollection.com/) and follow them on Facebook for updates, to ask inquiries, and to give my suggestions for items I'd like to purchase. I recently inquired about the availability of holiday ornaments, which they offered in 2010 (missed) and 2011 (got both) [note: there will be none this year]. I guess as a result of that latest round of questioning I received the email above. So fast forward to Saturday's mail delivery. This is what I retrieved out of the mailbox: Upon opening it up: How cool is that? A limited edition navy blue hat, that's not sold on the web site, to celebrate GMC's 100 years! The blending of the first GMC logo with the current logo is pure art to me I feel very lucky to be the recipient of this gift, for no other reason than being me - a huge GMC fan!! Many thanks to Jaqcuie at the Cary Francis Group (www.thecfg.com) for not only having her social media team respond to my many Facebook comments, but for her generosity to make this GMC Truck fan's day.

Ramburban?
I think you nailed it, Cubical. A Suburban with the pickup's rear hinged door would have been a cool feature. I'm not a fan of these 6-door SUVs posted here... the Ford Raptor-converted SUV is awesome, just lose the tlast set of rear doors.

Project Mothertruck
Yeah, but that might just be the one. And the seller is 82 years old, will likely take less knowing that it's going to a project truck. Old people love a good story! You could probably get it for less too if you called the guy. Mothertruck is waiting!!!

Ramburban?
ocnblu, I believe it was to be the Chevy Suburban that was going to offer the six doors, but my memory could be wrong. If not the Suburban, it would have to be the Excursion.

Ramburban?
That Quad Cab door opening (rear doors) is not very wide!! Would make getting into the third row of seats (and back out) interesting.

Now this is a house...
Isn't that the truth!?! I know more people who use their garage as an additional storage unit than for parking their cars. I guess they save on paying those ever growing storage places for a rental unit! My neighborhood is a townhouse community where everyone has a two-car garage and driveway lengths depend on the size of the land your unit was built on. I can fit both of our vehicles in the garage, and two cars in the driveway, with possibly two more smaller vehicles behind them if the first two aren't land yachts Half of my 2100 sq ft basement is finished with the remaining half for storage. I use half of the garage for the kids' summer toys June-October, and November-May both vehicles get parked inside (step-son's car is parked on the street or in the driveway if we know one of the two garaged vehicles won't be used).
