  2. Seconded, for both of the "offenders"
  3. Awesome! I want a set for my Envoy. Of course then NJ needs to get some serious snow, which isn't likely.
  4. I used my Photobucket account to display the Hershey pics, is that okay? If yes, in the future I'll use the album you made for new additions. If you want the Photobucket pictures put into the album, I'll make that change.
  5. Looks like an '80s Caprice to me.
  6. So jealous!! You're so lucky. Good luck with it (though I will admit I hate to see you use such a beautiful 2-door SUV for plowing, I know it will get the job done). I don;t care what anyone says, those long-bed crew cab pickups are awesome
  7. Personally, if I had the $3.5k cash available I'd go take a look at the green 3500 SRW crew cab. Those trucks are awesome and pretty rare, especially that one being a SLE model (most are SL 2WDs). This one is a municpal truck for the next town over from me and I constantly keep my eye on it when I go through that town:
  8. Ok, I can see the 3500 SRW Crew Cab being long, but is the extended cab really that much worse than a regular cab long bed? Two extra feet? You're the plow expert, not me. But in my development the landscaper that plows snow in the winter uses extended cab Ford Super Duty dump trucks (then again, the driveway you plow doesn't have a lot of room for turning around in).
  9. My gut reaction is that the prototype seen is the Chevy Colorado and not the GMC Canyon. Why did the photographer not get a better frontend shot to make a better call?

  11. Now that Impala sketch catches my eye, moreso than the 2014 production model. Future Delta-based next generation GMC Terrain? I wonder if any of that GMC Sierra sketch will be production??
  12. Are we sure that this is the GMC version? If it is, I'm disappointed that it's using the Chevy Colorado cab (rear doors) and not getting it's own design. I definitely do not like that upkick in the rear window of the extended cab too. Was hoping GM would truly differentiate these two pickups, like the supposed full-size trucks.

  14. Whoa, watch what you say dfelt, you'll insult the Chevy Truck fanboys. Oh wait, this isn't that other site.

  16. Which to you shows "emotion", and which doesn't?
  17. Emblems are becoming a thing of the past. Foreign cars have removed any emblem from the side of the car for over almost a decade and a half now; GM just started a few years back (my '06 Envoy has "Envoy" emblems on the front doors but they were removed starting in '07). Trucks have had their nameplate on the side (door or front fender) for years and most of all trucks sold new today continue this tradition. But I think GM went crazy in the late '80s and '90s with emblems while the Japanese got rid of them and now the American companies are following suit. I do agree with you that today's emblems are really bland - look at the current Chevy GMT-900 trucks & SUVs - block style, separated letters. Then look at the classic '70s Scottsdale and Silverado Emblems, stylistic with flair. A vendor I looked at had a whole bucket of brand new '90s GM emblems in their packaging for $5 each - but none pulled at my heart strings to part with cash (Grand Prix? ABS? V6 High Output?). Rather, I spent some dough at other vendors with classic emblems that did pull at my heart strings and had reverance to my childhood. I can't see 20 years from now me looking at many of today's plastic emblems/letters and wanting to part with my cash for them
  18. I've been stalking GMC Sierra 2500 HD's lately: Not that I have a need for such a heavy duty truck, but the grille and ride height are perfect.
  19. Here's a few that I saw within the last year at car shows:
  20. Yes, his name is Stere and I got his business card (last year I bought the '55-'57 GMC hood emblem from him that eventually I will ask you to sand blast for me ). He used to go to Carlisle too, but says he doesn't make enough there to justify the trip out anymore. I'm glad to see he goes to Englishtown, maybe I'll go to the Spring show then in '13 if he finds me the '41-'47 General Motors Truck emblem I inquired about. As for the Olds emblems in the caes, can't say much about the vendor. Walked by his space and the case caught my eye, took the shot and continued on my path.
  21. BIG, BIG fan I am of the SSR. Love seeing them at car shows and always have to check them out. Look at the used ones all of the time, but the high selling prices will keep me away (not that I can afford a 3rd vehicle "toy" purchase anyway). Loved the concept and the following production models and if finances allowed, would have one parked in my garage right now. Saw this logo on a teardrop trailer at the AACA Fall Eastern Meet last weekend: The bright red SSR tow rig that pulled it was gorgeous (two old men were packing it up so I couldn't get a good shot of the SSR or the trailer).
