Volt will be road-tested next spring!
Assuming the batteries don't completely drain overnight, you'd think that the generator could keep just enough juice flowing to drive around while it's running. Otherwise, what happens when you're on a long road trip and battery levels start dropping...

Consumer Reports finds a great big "DUH!"
I wonder how many Prius-es have reached 200,000 miles?

The O.C. driving an Enclave in The O.C.....
NO! I once had a Montego rental (5,6A?) with "D" and "L," and I hated it! It was also slow to downshift, but dropping it down to "L" was usually a lower gear then I wanted. I like the +/- button on the Enclave because... I can shift up through the gears AS I PLEASE I can downshift, to the gear I WANT, WHEN I PLEASE If I don't feel like doing the above, then I can force the 6A to act like a 3,4,5A by just leaving the indicator in 3,4,5... point being that, I know it's stupid for a 6A to upshift through all the gears when I'm driving slow to moderate speeds. So much like the 6M in my SS, I can choose the highest gear for a particular application!

New LaCrosse, the front end looks good... thought it was a Super, but it was just a CXS.

Turbo Camaro?
My "The Camaro Anthology" CD says nothing about a Turbo 6 for the 1985 Camaro, only the option for a "LB8 Engine 173ci/135hp V6 (std Berlinetta)"

USA TODAY 08 Accord review
Trip computers are cool. I really like the set-up on my brother's GTI, you can scroll through the usual inst. mpg, avg. mpg, trip odometer, trip time, etc. and it will show you both lifetime and current data! I also LOVE automatic headlights. How can you make an argument against them? On numerous occasions I've seen people driving around at night with their headlights OFF, just because they have back-lit gauges and they totally forget to turn them on.

Toyota FJ - Structure cracking
True... but look at the poll. Assuming people knew what they were responding to, the majority of the vehicles with problems are NOT MODDED, though who knows how they've been driven.

The O.C. driving an Enclave in The O.C.....
I agree about the joining of the trim at the sides of the center console. It's definitely not a misalignment, since it's the same on both sides. It has to be a design issue, but why they would make the overlapping piece not sit flush is beyond me. I think I noticed the same thing in pictures of the center console of the new Malibu.

If You Like SOAD...
Yeah... my gf's grandmother is friends with one of their (maybe the drummer's?) grandmothers, so my gf and her grandmother got to go to whichever band member's sister's wedding!

So I have a choice to make (+updates)
If you'll be doing mostly highway driving then you can expect MPG in the high 20's, maybe very low 30's, assuming you stick around 65-70, in 6th gear. So the fuel economy is good, but it's the extra 10-30 cents per gallon of premium gas to consider...

GMDAT Chief thinks US may get microcars
Why not just refresh the Aveo to look like one (maybe two) of these?

I keep seeing a black/silver-stripes Ford GT parked in a faculty spot on campus (UCSD).

The Future of GM Powertrains
Pontiac Buzzzz! I can imagine the commercial now... guy 1: Hey! What's with all the buzzz? guy 2: It's a Pontiac!!! (though lame, this sounds much funnier in my head and doesn't seem to translate well in text...)

The Future of Cadillac - Autoweek
It might weigh a lot (relatively speaking), but they say it handles great and it's not slow... so, does it really matter? Can we please move on?

How can the redesigned HHR still be an HHR (Heritage High Roof) if it loses its retroness?

The Future of Pontiac - Autoweek
Why does RWD imply poor gas mileage? I can understand if mileage slightly decreases... but not so much as to let "CAFE standards put those plans on hold."

I also saw a white NEW Vue... it was a rental, and that color does make it look BORING! Regardless of that, my sister really liked it!

New Interior Shots of Hyundai Genesis
I think most the "bitching" is in regards to the "layers of bulging lard" look that this and so many other interiors are emulating. It has nothing to do with it being a Hyundai.

New Interior Shots of Hyundai Genesis
I actually cannot stand these types of interiors, where the center stack bulges out and it looks like layers of silly-putty. Sorry, but I don't need to get my eyes checked, and this thing sucks (from a design point-of-view).
