  1. Which is why I gladly leave the SS at home if I'm going to Hollywood (Sunset) or downtown LA.
  2. Same here! Last I remember, it's standard (w/out an option) on the two upper level trims :(

My most memorable race: the 2000 SS (no mods) vs. 2002 mustang gt (with exhaust and ?) We are on PCH (south) leaving Huntington Beach. The #1,2 lanes are packed and we end up in the #3 lane (i'm behind him). Light turns green, I'm on his bumper through first, into second... we pass up all the cars in lanes 1 & 2, then he moves into lane 2. I shift into 3rd and blow by him! We get to the next light and the driver of the gt turns to me and asks "What do you got in that thing?!?" Then his passanger answers for me... "Dude! It's an SS!" :D Other notable races: took a... '95? Grand Prix GTP with our '92 SSEi, 97? supra (turbo?) with our '98 Z28, '69 Nova with our '96 Z28, '99 M3 with the SS...

Actually... they do have a dome over-ride switch. (I just checked our '02 Tahoe)

a couple pictures I took at the Peterson automotive museum p.s. If someone can scale down the pics, and post them directly... please do :)
  7. Not once have I lost a race to a mustang of my Camaro's vintage.

I also noticed all the nice things MT had to say about GM and their new cars... I've been subscribing to them for almost 10 years, but the more of this crap I see the more I want my $$ back for all those years.
  9. Yeah... i know it's a stereotype. Maybe dorky wasn't a good choice to describe them, but over the years I have found a common thread with most male mustang drivers. I came to this conclusion a couple years ago after observing many friends/acquaintances with mustangs, and going to a few ford only car shows. This isn't necessarily a "bad" stereotype I am trying to establish, just things i've picked up...
  10. cool... yeah, SOAD kicks ass. I think there should be 3 maybe 4 levels of performance (engines), from V6 to the best V8 the 'Vette guys will allow.
  11. true... true...
  12. Yes it was... Why would the guy pimp his ride, then get rid of it? Was it his plan all along? Does he just need the $$$?
  13. hmmm, never knew/thought of all that stuff. I just use it because I'm Armenian.
  14. ZL-1: It's the Coat of Arms of Armenia :)
  15. 1) I believe the Camaro will return. 2) I drive a Camaro, so it's not something imaginary to me. The pictures show me what's to come, and the next one I will be driving. If you don't believe, or don't enjoy it... then why rain on everyone elses parade? And yes, I know my comments about the mustang driving dorks helped your argument... But if you can honestly say that the recent Camaro photos wouldn't give a mustang driver buyer's remorse, then you need to have your eyes checked.
  16. You are sooo right! I should go buy a mustang right now! Like I've said before, and the recent photos have shown... the Camaro (concept) would make any mustang driver (even those diehard mustang/ford dorks, which lots of mustang drivers are) regret ever making the purchase! So, who cares about a lead in market share when you are the only one out there.
  17. Much better... now I'de believe you if you said the concept would share a resemblence to the SS. Just one thing, the bowtie looks out of place. I think it would work better on the grill, or somehow integrated into the lower intake (like on the 93-97's)

Glad it's finally all worked out! Don't forget the pics
  21. I saw a blue on black Veyron in Germany... and it is amazing to see in person. It was in a showroom, so unfortunately I never saw or heard it run. On to some dissapointing Bugatti news... the new MT shows a "sedan" version that is supposed to go into production. That thing is DISGUSTING if you ask me.

This is about Kerkorian's consultant, York. What I do know about Kerkorian is... he's old, rich and Armenian. And he had something to do with MGM.

    yeah... where was that taken?
  24. Aside from the negative aspects of the leak... I really liked what I saw. I can always trust GM to make the right decisions when it comes to drivetrains, and I know whatever comes will ride on a chassis that is lightyears ahead of my 4th gen... So, what the pictures confirmed (I hope) is that the new car will be BEAUTIFUL. It's not slab sided, with a flat beltline like the mustang. It has some amazing curves and details that would definitely (again, like I hope) make a mustang driver regret ever making that purchase. Now, it is just a matter of waiting until 1/8 to see the final concept. Then... enjoy it in all its glory when I go to NAIAS on 1/14! And finally buy it when the time comes. :D

The big F-in deal is... while it was "unoriginal," the images are usually a sketch/rendering done by an enthusiast, this was something done by GM and illegally distributed.
