  1. This needs to be more that a rebadge of the Telluride or Palisade. It needs to have more length and be a true full sized SUV. Otherwise, a Platinum Ford Explorer beats it's butt.
  2. It was smooth enough. Audi did a much better job with their I5, at least with acceleration....
  3. Interesting. As long as they don't stick that sluggish Inline 5 in it.... Man, was our H3 slow. I ended up giving it to my wife.
  4. I understand what you're saying. I think that FCA would be wise to place this in the next segment up. Think about taking the Cadillac CT6 and placing it with the BMW 5 or E Class, Benz. Dimensionally, it belongs in the next segment up. In that arena, the CT6 shows up as a good value. FCA should be doing the same thing. I'm sure that this will not be as big as the Expedition or Large Yukon/Tahoe, but it sure isn't going to be as short as the current Grand Cherokee . Maybe it'll be the size of the new offerings by Hyundai and Kia, which as an Expedition EL owner, IMO are too small. We'll see.....
  5. How can the new Jeep play in the same segment when the additional row will add at least ten inches to the length.

  7. Just 6 inches too short... This was supposed to be placed on the 120" WB, Traverse Platform (204" overall length). Instead, it's just an Acadia. Fail. Lost me as a buyer. I guess I'm going to look at the Traverse High Country or Red Line.

  9. Coo. Usually anything associated with "brick" is bad. I'll bet that the front end gets a tweak, prior to production. I hope that they build this. Thanks!
  10. Look. I had a 2013 and sold it to my Brother in Law as I bought a 740 IL. I still miss the thing. Furthermore, I swear that this thing is faster than over six seconds on the 0-60. It also is very happy with regular unleaded gas. The engine is SO SMOOTH. I am ticked that they dropped the transmission slapstick for that round dial selector. Yes, the interior is a bit cheap. My biggest gripe about this story lies in the price. It may have a "As Tested" price of around 50, BUT do they ever discount this thing. I'll bet that your actual cost is closer to 40.
  11. It would be nice to see a more youthful and athletic looking Avalon. Oh, yeah, it needs more than 275 HP. AWD would be a good idea as well.

That is great work. Isn't it suppose to be larger than the current model? I am not seeing it in the photos but they can be misleading.

especially since they showed it for the first time over, what, 4 years ago in detroit?
  14. yup, old al in living in the 70's still. he is loyal to toyota now but nissan is the big dog in Nashville, aren't they?
  15. This was the plan all along. who knows, in a year or so, they'll probably just drop the chrysler monniker. dodge and jeep, too. the division where benz dumps its old or castoff technology, to maximize profits.

Caddy fan is right. Bowel Movement, i mean buick man, is sounding desperate. GM's stock will continue to do a decent rise. Ford? not so sure. some folks are saying they cannot go any lower. i don't see much hope for them in the short term. At least Steve Wilson at channel 7 in detroit shamed mark into dropping the weekly corporate jet commute from florida to detroit. that is a drop in the bucket compared to where ford is hemmoraging. ran into a guy at the bank yesterday that took his buyout. left wixom and took the $$. in his early 50's and really still wants to work. sad.
  17. you couldn't pry my daughters 2001 aztek out of her hands. she'll wear this out and buy another one on the used market. as long as she can find good used ones, she will continue to drive an aztek. i have driven the aztek, its pretty neat.
  18. the VW looks a little better than this. top down? not bad. but, a convertible should look good with the top up as well. and, yes, drop the stupid ribbing on the hood.
  19. ditto, kind of young for that job.
  20. as good as their response is, they should have figured those things out before the launch. i hate buying a car, only to have the flaws fixed in the next model year. what do they expect me to do, trade it in after a year? who would want my used XXXX, when the next model year has the much needed improvements.
  21. the guy is probably pissed because he can't buy one. i miss my ext. i'll probably dish off the hummer to my wife and get another ext. "hogging valuable parking spaces".... it's a pretty darn good use of a space, if you ask me.
  22. different strokes........... i like wheels but those just do not fit.

no, as a matter of fact, someone posted a video of a smart car in a high speed crackup. it fares pretty well due to the egg design. cannot crack it.
