Speaking of Accord interiors, I've ridden in a coworker's '05 a few times..black interior..very nice materials, fit n finish...seems very German to me--reminds me of VW/Audi interiors. Not a bad place to spend time in day to day..

Brokeback was very good...I generally don't like cowboy movies or Westerns, but viewed it as a sad, moving very human drama... I haven't seen Capote (definitely want to, though). .. I liked Good Night and Good Luck, and Munich, but Crash was probably my favorite overall of these. As far as movies not nominated, I liked Syriana, Walk the Line, The Constant Gardener, A History Violence, and Hustle & Flow quite a bit also...

Since I haven't sat in one, I really can't judge the quality of the interior trim..but the exterior isn't generic..take away the ventiports and grille, and it's still a distinctive shape.

I've seen 4/5 of the best picture nominees and am rooting for Crash. Too bad Walk the Line or The Constant Gardener weren't nominated, though...

The '06 facelift was trivial, though...maybe they will have a more thorough facelift for '08 (i.e. change metal).

It's been a looong time since I've seen that movie, but it was something like a '76 Mercury Grand Marquis 2dr in typical '70s brown, I think...

I got to ride in an R32 Skyline GT-R last year...fun car. A bit wierd seeing the driver on the right side on US roads... I'd love to drive one.

The new Focus coupe/convertible looks pretty sweet from what I've seen..it would make a nice G6 CC competitor for Ford.

Some more goodies I found in the HW Classics line include a dk green '67 GTO, gold '62 Bel Air ht (new tool), and a '57 Bel Air conv (I think it's the old HW ht made into a convertible). Also found an Ultra Hots Candy Red '65 GTO.

The pics I've seen of the Ultra Hots '50s Chevy truck is that of a custom crew cab '50 style.

I keep hoping Revell or AMT would come out with a 1:25th scale styrene Solstice glue kit, so I'll probably get the Maisto 1:24th and do some detail painting.. By the way, does anyone know of a 1:24th or 1:25th diecast CTS? I know Ricko does one in 1:18th, but I'd rather have one in 1:24th..

It would be interesting to see a sales breakdown by market...Buick is sold only in 3 countries, right ? (US, Canada, China). Is the China volume higher than the US?

I've read for years in various articles that the current Astra is on Delta..the 5dr appears to have the same door shapes as the Cobalt 4dr also. Anyway, it's a small FWD GM product...whether they are the same or not, the basic ingredients are pretty similar.. (transverse OHC 4cyl, FWD, yada yada yada)

What is interesting about Dodge and the cross-hair grill is that it is historically a Chrysler grill--specifically, the '57-66 300. It didn't become a Dodge item until the '80s, I think..

Road Signature is a Yat Ming brand, by the way, so I assume a Yat Ming and Road Signature one would be the same... I know Maisto makes a 1:24th Solstice, haven't seen the 1:18th yet.

My choice would be the Nissan Skyline GT-R R32, R33, R34...it's a shame it was never officially imported to the US. As far as current cars, there are several models from the Alfa range I'd love to see here--the sedans, the Brera coupe and new Spyder, the GT coupe.. the Opel Astra and Vectra, the TVRs...maybe some Peugeots...

Invicta is a great name...Electra would be even better, IMHO... both names with Buick heritage. Statesman is so dull...about as boring as Ambassador (an old AMC) or Diplomat (an old Dodge)..

I think I've probably seen Bullitt, Vanishing Point, Duel and Ronin at least 10 times each... I've seen Heat, To Live and Die in LA, Collateral, and LA Confidential probably 5 times each.. The original Star Wars trilogy I've seen probably 5 times, and many of the James Bond movies that many times.

I saw a very clean early '80s Coupe de Ville in traffic today..kind of a gray blue, with no vinyl top. Had base full wheelcovers..around an '80 or '81 I think.

The Chrysler Aspen is a huge improvement over the hideous Durango, IMHO. It's a name quite fitting for an SUV and most buyers won't remember the '70s crapmobile.

Yeah, the PA and the last Riviera are the best looking late-model Buicks, IMHO...they definitely looked related, in the curves of the front and rear quarters and other details. Great looking cars..
