Before or after they take over Toyota?

Challenger Videos
Well, I absolutely HATE to be a pessimist, but to ME that sounds like the car being recorded has NO resonators, and I'm fairly confident the Challenger will be produced with resonators. I could be wrong..... I sure like the looks of the black Challengers too.

GM Posts $39 BILLION loss for Last Year
Yup, just as '$39,000,000,000 loss" can be called "that's on paper only", so too can all the "turning the corner" rhetoric. It's PERCEPTION, and as enzl seems to say, it's sometimes in the eye of the beholder...

GM Posts $39 BILLION loss for Last Year
I'll stick to MY link, it's only a 37 billion dollar loss.... http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/sto...NStory/Business Gotta get people looking at actual cars and test driving actual cars, I know ALOT of people who won't even LOOK at a domestic nowadays....

Sellers Remorse
Haha I've sold TONS of high performance cars and trucks over the years, the only vehicle I truly miss is a 1956 fargo 3 ton car hauler, I would buy it back in a second if I knew where it was.....

Chrysler to End Badge Engineering
No, I find "badge engineering" to be the same vehicle, it can be tweaked here and there to appear slightly different, but there is no mistaking the connection between the two vehicles. "Subtle differences" by changing a few parts doesn't distract me...

First Camaro engine bay shots (v6)
ME TOO! And we own a Magnum. :AH-HA_wink:

Chrysler to End Badge Engineering
I agree too. The "well, these two are a little less badge engineered" doesn't really hold water too well, alot of new stuff nowadays is badge engineered, between import/domestics as well. My buddy used to toss Escalade front ends on Chevy pickups. It's a straightforward swap. *shrugs*

Intelligent, as usual. LOL!

Chrysler to End Badge Engineering
ALL automakers badge engineer so much it isn't worth keeping track of anymore... Too many duplicate vehicles in a market that can't absorb them HAS to be addressed, by EVERY automaker. small and midsize SUVs are packed on lots everywhere....

At Long Last, Official Photos of the Dodge Challenger
I hate to point out the obvious, but TWO THINGS stand out with those pictures like a sore thumb- Camaros- Those are pictures of a 1969 Camaro beside the Camaro CONCEPT. The roof being raised, bigger mirrors, higher suspension height and B pillars would change that comparison picture. The Camaro WILL be a bigger car than the 1969 Camaro, and heavier too. Challengers- Who the heck is the Chrysler ad agency checker? That Challenger that is labelled as a "1970 Challenger" is CLEARLY NOT a 1970 Challenger. It's a 1972 to 1974 in all their ads, with 1970 written all over them. I wish they knew the "heritage" they are trying to emulate!

Production Challenger SRT-8 Interior Pics
Good thing they don't have long shots of the steering wheel in the promotional ads I'm thinking... :AH-HA_wink: http://www.redletterdodge.com/2008/02/06/e...hallenger-srt8/

I'm not a fan of "fake carbon stripes" or fake ANYTHING, but Ma MoPar has brought the world mod tops, square steering wheels, crazy high impact colors, pistol grip shifters, Superbird/Daytona wings, you name it.... A LITTLE BIT of weirdness has to be expected...? :AH-HA_wink:

Egads. I agree with this post, and EVERY post you have in this thread.

SPORTSCAR? Nope! PERFORMANCE CAR? Well, it does have four wheel independent suspension, HUGE brakes, and everything a musclecar back in the 1960s/1970s SHOULD have......? The LX cars are NEVER going to be a "sportscar", but they were never meant to be a sportscar?

V-8 Camaros to be more expensive??
I think Ford has a decent idea with the higher priced "Shelby Mustangs" hitting the streets, and very affordable Mustang GTs etc being the "bread and butter" cars for the working stiff. I think it will be hard for the Camaro or Challenger to compete price-wise with the Mustang in the near future, it's a good "bang for the buck" package. 350hp in a Mustang would move pretty danged good....

I keep hearing about "markups", but go read forum after forum, guys are buying these at MSRP, not a penny more. I can see a few dealers TRYING to get markups, and maybe a few succeeding, but supply and demand will most likely ensure what the pricing is, don't you think? I don't think there will be a stampede to buy new Challengers once the pre-sold 9000 are delivered, though I may be wrong.... It reminiscent of the Miata, it's price WAS jacked up like crazy, for a time. But supply wasn't tremendous compared to demand. The Mustang - and even more so the Challenger/Camaro are definitely a larger car than a BMW 3 series. I'm not sure one could be substituted for the other in a buyer's mind.

Journey Center stacks
One *COULD* look at their feet while using the Nav... :AH-HA_wink: I can imagine how the location was chosen with the need to sell over the counter front end parts for repairs....

I agree, the buyer looking at a BMW 3 series is a totally different buyer from a Mustang/Challenger/Camaro IMO. $37,995 is also not quite "40k-50k" either..?

Hahaha Surrre. Whatever you say!!!!! LOL!

Production Challenger SRT-8 Interior Pics
Actually most of the guys I post with who have actually ordered them are paying MSRP. I know over a dozen guys who have paid no markup whatsoever, I have yet to see anyone who has paid MORE than MSRP. I see them on Ebay with markups, but I don't see them selling....
