08 Chargers
I just don't see anything comparable in the GM lineup. For those who see any comparison at all, go and DRIVE a Charger SRT8. The "bang for the buck" factor in a family sedan is very hard to understand until you drive one. I'm not really crazy about a few of the colors, the high impact style colors I don't mind. The interior is supposed to be a step up in a few ways, but until I see one in person I won't judge them. I liked the present Charger interior. Functional, clean and comfortable. In the pictures I think I actually like the 2007 interior more than the 2008.

Chrysler SUVs appear destined to become roadkill
I think some Magnum owners are wishing the Magnum would get killed off because then their cars would be worth more, like you say, but as long as the 300/Charger are made it isn't a big chunk of change to continue with the Magnum, and they are still selling respectibly despite complete lack the Magnum ads in the last year or so...The 2008 Magnum is out, and it looks not bad. Have you seen the interior..? Weird looking key is the thing that catches my eye.

Lutz reveals B Pillar on the Camaro
Here's my take..... The Camaro is going to change from the concept as far as a production vehicle goes more than just the addition of a B pillar I'm willing to bet. As I said in the Challenger thread, how do people think an AFFORDABLE musclecar will be made without a B pillar? It adds cost and weight to have a true hardtop. Simple as that. (Go read the Challenger thread for some of the comical comments... LOL They now apply to the Camaro too. Big surprise! ) A 60's hardtop with a big block being pounded through the gears would NOT matter a lick of difference if the windows were up or if they were down. The windows were NOT "structural" in any way shape or form. We used to buy convertible frames for our 1969 Chevelles to try to have a little more structural rigidity. The B pillar won't detract enormously from the Camaro, but like I say, don't discount the fact there *may* be more changes before production.

Chrysler SUVs appear destined to become roadkill
EVERY domestic manufacturer seems to be wrapped up in making too many SUVs right now, it's ridiculous. Chrysler makes the Aspen, Dodge makes the Durango, Jeep makes what it has always made, the Pacifica, you name it.... Chrysler could compete amongst itself for SUVs. Too many as opposed to lots of choices IMO. Same goes with GM and Ford. Gas crunch + ecological concerns = SUVs?

How Does One Go About Adjusting The Idle?
Go to a race track, look around. Lots of carbs out there still. Russia or China? LOL

How Does One Go About Adjusting The Idle?
Take a look at the carb linkage. When the throttle is applied it opens the throttle blades, so all you want to do is have the throttle blade close a little more. There should be a screw that keeps the linkage from sitting all the way back down, turn it counterclockwise and the idle should drop. Have you checked your timing? (with the vacuum advance removed and plugged?) The idle should be nowhere NEAR 1500 to 2000 rpm, it should be well below 1000, 750ish or so... too much advance can leave the car idling high too, and contribute to the dieseling (run on) when you turn the ignition off.... Try the timing if you can, the idle adjustment screw is right on the linkage of the carb near the driver's side base of the carb. There *might* be two- one for fast idle, one for idle when warm, you'll have to try, and remember- keep track of the turns in case you make a mistake. DON'T turn idle mixture screws! They aren't on the linkage they are on the body of the carb.

What type or types of vehicle(s) do you buy new?
I buy work vehicles and family daily drivers. My last two work vehicles were a Dodge 5.9 3/4 ton van and a Chevy Express 3/4 with a 4.8. My last two drivers were a Caravan Sport 3.3 and a Magnum R/T. I've owned hundreds of vehicles, but most were used, and most of those were used and older. I like the older stuff.

2008 Chrysler/Dodge Van Impressions
I think YOUR pictures are more flattering for the exterior of the vans than the actual press release photos. LOL Whatever you did they don't look bad at all in your pics. The dash and front area still has too much "Japanese flavor" ( ) styling for me...

First Look: 2008 Chrysler 300
Is it the LOOKS of the HVAC controls that you don't like? We have the same HVAC controls in our Magnum, dual climate control just like in the picture, and they are extremely simple to use. Probably the best HVAC system in any car I have been in. LOOKS wise is subject to personal opinion, but I don't see how they could be changed and still be as simple to operate?

New Fit Photos
Hahahaha Not a CHANCE! The Fit may not be beautiful, but it isn't dog ugly. The Fit might be homely, but it isn't one of the worst styling experiments of all time. The Fit might be ugly, but it isn't.... (fill in with your own version of disgust)
