  1. Toyota did it backwards. They started small where the least benefit was able to be realized. Woohoo! They made a 36mpg car into a 45mpg car. Trucks and SUV are more then 50% of all new vehicle sales. Making a 15mpg truck into a 28 mpg truck is a much more impressive accomplishment and makes a much greater environmental and economic impact. Remember, GM was doing hybrid technology since before WWII.
  2. Martha selling Buicks to the 30-50 female crowd makes perfect sense. Who are the largest purchasers of the ES and RX? Women in the 30-50 age range of course.... In fact.. it makes "Martha sense.."
  3. If there is a next gen.
  4. I'm just looking at a Kappa roadster for Cadillac to be able to take on the likes of the Z4 and SLR. I'm certain and A&S Kappa could beat the pants off BMW and Benx in the small roadster department as far as looks are concerned.
  5. another one "more gears = smoother transmission" Uh, no.
  6. You want richer? I got your richer right here!
  7. Other then the lack of wood on the steering wheel, I think they almost look similar. You can see that Buick was aiming for them. Would a stylized L on the wheel improve things?
  8. If they do it, they need to make a Caddy Kappa. Mini-XLR anyone?
  9. Was the General pissed about the Ion?
  10. Can you at least tell us if our guesses were right?
  11. I have a 2004 with 3.6vvt.
  12. See, I'm no good at design, but I'd love to be in charge of GM's marketing. I think i could turn it around big time.
  13. I think this belongs in the "best car to have sex in" thread....
  14. Heck, I'll just pocket the 20 grand and go with the Motor Trend or C&D numbers.
  15. Has it occured to anyone that it takes Dodge 20 grand and two extra cylinders just to beat the 'Vette by point 2 seconds in one apparently flawed test... while still getting soundly beaten in the other tests?
  16. It'll mean something different in a year or two.
  17. First Generation was a quick response to the Mustang and was also at a time when platforms had much shorter runs. Starting in the mid-late 60s is when a platform would run 7 years or so.
  18. Lookout Audi, here comes Subi!
  19. to not reveal the whole concept car pic. We all kept hitting "Refresh" to see if he'd post the answer!
  20. #4 Hence my purchase of a CTS. I'm not sure what I'm going to do next time around. I may trade the CTS for two cars. A new Saturn Sky for fun and a 1996 Fleetwood for around town daily driving. Or just might get another '08 CTS.
  21. The idea that Schwinn is a better transmission manufacturer because they make a 36speed.
  22. I run on a Ferrari:
