  1. I was referring to balthazar. You and I have had this argument before.
  2. Of course GPS navs don't always cost $2k. Y ou can buy a portable GPS nav for $200, or less if you find a deal. My TomTom was $120.
  3. I can't believe people argue against navigation systems with the argument "Use a map." So you're arguing that a windshield-sized piece of parchment that I have to constantly refer to in order to make sure I'm going where I'm suppose to be going is less obtrusive and safer than a small device that takes 2 minutes of input and will tell me where and when to turn without any further instructions? Not to mention it has millions of points of interest stored for quick reference, multiple destination routing, automatic rerouting for missed turns and, in the new HDD Navigation in vehicles, has a built-in MP3 management system that can rip CDs. OK, old men, whatever you say.
  4. I honestly don't understand what the big deal with tapping the brakes is. Just a quick depression of the pedal and BOOM! Cruise is off. Hit resume and you're back to cruising speed. Why are you canceling cruise anyway? Most likely because traffic ahead is slower and you're having to brake. If you just need to slow your cruise setting down, hold coast until you reach the desired speed.
  5. Well, the police report wouldn't have been available until today, if at all, takes 10 days for the report to be available. Thing is, since the original plan was to not involve insurance, I don't have her insurance info. However, it will be on the report. I'll call my agent back tomorrow and see what she can tell me. Thanks for your help.
  6. I talked to my insurance agent and gave her my statement. She called the lady that hit me once she got my statement and said I should hear from her insurance about getting my car taken care of and how to proceed. That was Tuesday.
  7. Good. Next up, available Navs across 90% of the lineup.
  8. Haven't heard from the lady's insurance, yet. Guess it will be after Christmas before I get my car fixed... Would they be waiting on the police report, ocnblu?
  9. And force emissions testing and licensing of said bovines. I just want to see a line of $h!ting, farting cows down at the city clerk's office.
  10. Choice is a right, however, and so is the ability for a business to produce and sell whatever kind of product they choose.
  11. Talked to my insurance agent just a few moments ago and she got all the facts of the accident and was going to contact the lady and make sure SHE had contacted her insurance. I hope the lady is cooperative so we can get this over with ASAP. There's no reason she should be because she gave an honest account of her fault in the matter to the police officer, so its in the collision report. I just want this $h! to be done with.
  12. I always tap the break to cancel cruise...
  13. Thats the best picture of the Malibu interior I've ever seen. That looks frickin' GORGEOUS!!
  14. Ah, I see. I still think it would be a good idea. Especially with the amount of unregistered guests running around on the site.
  15. There are 170 guests online right now. Imagine that in ad revenue.
  16. The site should really think about ads for guests, that can generate quite a bit of revenue. Replace the entire right and left sides, as well as the newsreel, on the front page with ads and have ads between each top story. Only for guests.
  17. Also... How in the HELL do we keep getting hit by Toyota's!?!?
  18. Its in the police report which I'll go pick up later this week, it takes ten days for a collision report to be available.
  19. So Tuesday night, I'm Christmas shopping for the wife and I'm about to leave the parking lot of the store I'm in. A black Toyota Highlander goes through the intersection and I pull out to the left (behind it). Suddenly, this dumb woman stops, throws the damn thing into reverse and boom! Takes out my front bumper. Pulled it completely off. *sigh* While waiting for the officer to show up, she conveys her wish to just write me a check once I get an estimate. Apparently in order to keep her monthly premium down, her deductible is outrageous, something like $1000. So I tentatively agree, especially after she's honest with the officer about whose fault it was. Well until today. Yesterday I got 2 estimates (one for $530, the other for $650) and went by her place. She only wanted to write an exact amount for the estimate and directly to the repair place. When I explain to her that the total cost may be more than the estimate AND that I'm going to be out a car for two days, she starts to weasel her way out of writing a check for any more than the estimate by saying that I can just have them call her and get her credit card info when the repairs done and when I get a rental car. Of course this is unacceptable to me because I'm not going through all this inconvenience after she hit me. So we eventually get to the point where I tell her that I'm just going to contact my insurance and get this taken care of the most convenient way for the both of us. All she would have had to have done was written ME a check that would have covered the cost of a two-day rental and any extra over the estimate. Now she gets to pay a $1000 deductible and watch her premium go up. Too bad.
  20. I hope they can sell more than 3,000 a month, though.
  21. I haven't seen any on the road either, but neither have I seen any at Thoroughbred, though I haven't been by the larger Chevrolet dealer in town to see if they have any on the lot.
