Not much of a choice. Between the two, I'd go Vibe for a multitude of reasons. Take a good look at the Astra as well, they're having such a tough time unloading them, you might be able to get such a screaming value that the cars significant shortcomings are easier to overlook.

The Volt is going to be cross-shopped with the Prius and Insight and HS250, as well as anything else in the $40k price range.

The fleet numbers on Pontiac probably aren't any prettier than they were a a few months ago. Lets go with the low number and say 30% of Pontiac's sales are fleet. So of Pontiac's 17k (and change) sales, 5100 were sales that weren't to people who preferred the styling, or the name on the trunk, or necessarily thought the car was good. Those sales were strictly because GM was the lowest bidder.

I just made love to my Smartkey after using my navigation system to find the nearest Wal-Mart to buy some lubricant. On the way over I powered my windows up and down and listened to The Strokes on my JBL soundsystem. And I used less than half a gallon of gas on the 20 mile drive.

If you think about it, if the Metro didn't suck complete ass, a Metro convertible could be pretty cool. Make it a turbo 4cyl, 6-speed in a smaller, lighter package than the Solstice and I'd rock it.

I probably should have done it sooner, the guy needed to be gone, if not for reasons of ineptitude, then for budgetary purposes. I would have waited until tomorrow or Thursday, but it was pretty much the worst kept secret in the world that I was going to have to do something so I did it after all my other options were confirmed dead. And yeah, unfortunately the guy who got into my head was someone whose opinion I do respect, so it stung, but I think I'm over it. Thanks guys

The thing is, I only take criticism to heart when the critic is someone smarter than I, and this guy is, and he really got to me. I think I'm at the point where I'm more pissed that I let it get to me than anything else. As far as having to fire people goes, in this economy, make sure you have Security on speed dial.

Had to fire a guy this morning. He didn't take it too well. Wasn't a good morning. My blood sugar tanked and I felt like $h!, then I let someone get into my head and it kicked off a whole new round of "Oh $h!, I'm royally screwing my life up by doing everything I've been doing the last few years." So now I'm second guessing just about everything. It sucks.
