Edmunds Full Test: 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser
No... they just decided to make them like that in the factory... :duh: I'm assuming they didn't have production versions available, so they displayed their pre-production.

Edmunds Full Test: 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser
That's some nice abuse the pre-productions took during their testing.

Edmunds Full Test: 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser
They already took downpayments for it, someone told me there is a four month wait for them.

Edmunds Full Test: 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser
Have any of you actually sat in it yet, or even drove it? Me and Ted are probably the first one who have done both at the Toronto Auto Show. All of you talk about it, like you know the car inside-out, go sit in it, drive it, then draw your conclusions.

Edmunds: Japanese First Drive: Honda Fit
Actually having over 100 hp in a small car like that is very decent, this car is light, therefore, it will have enough peppiness to keep up on the freeway, don't worry. Maybe one day, they'll make 300 hp econo cars just FOR YOU.

Edmunds: Japanese First Drive: Honda Fit
GM's new Aveo is 103 hp, and 107 pounds-feet of torque, Reg I know you love to use ANY excuse to bash anything that Honda and Toyota make, but this round you've lost.

Toyota Yaris: Why is toyota so stupid?
Nah, we left Toronto at 6 am, drove through Port Huron/Sarnia, and got there at around 10:30 am.

Toyota Yaris: Why is toyota so stupid?
Petra, you know what's funny about this pic, I came out with the idea to take a picture of Ted in the Yaris trunk, and I thought I seen someone beside us laughing cause of that. Was that you by any chance? who was there at the same time?

Toyota Yaris: Why is toyota so stupid?
Coooost cutting... It was cheaper to build a Cavalier than import an Astra. Let alone, here we have the UAW, there has to be a certain amount of domestic content in the vehicle to make their workers happy.

CR Biased-No Not At All
Me and Hudson obviously find it funny, cause people on this board blame everyone else besides the domestics for this. Get over it, there is no bias, or conspiracey, it is reality. Complaining that the media chooses imports over domestics, isnt going to change anything. The domestics have to wake up, and see what is happening to them, and actually do something about it. As of now, the Japanese are winning, from delivering better PRODUCT, not because it is an image of any sorts, or conspiracy. If anything, the domestics should be slipping money under the table, to get themselves published in a better light, this is the only thing that could save them right now. Until they wake up, and begin making better products THAN their competitors. MY :twocents:

Toyota, GM Partnership Nears End
The best, un-bais publication is the Canadian "Lemon-Aid" it is published every year.

HYUNDAI AZERA
I agree with you 100%, but argue all you want, there are members on this board who wear blind-folds when it comes to anything non-American.

Toronto Auto Show - when? whos going?
You are talking about the old Navigator, because the new one wasn't there.
-
"ACURA CSX"
Oh yes Croc, but when car journalists rip apart a GM product, you consider that unfair.

Toyota, GM Partnership Nears End
I don't know where you got that info from? And personally, JD Power and associates is the wrost source to determine a car's reliability. They only investigate the first three months of vehicle ownership.

Toyota, GM Partnership Nears End
Don't worry, this is the partnership that was the sharing of some tecnhologies. If you read the article at the end, it says that GM and Toyota has a seperate partnership, the NUMMI plant, and yes, there is a new Vibe coming in the fall of next year.

GM's decline impact
Hey, if it wasn't for THEM, then none of us would have been born on this earth.

Nissan cuts SUV, truck production
So? Customers don't go off buying the cars that Motor Trend and Car and Driver chose first in their comparos. And as for the truck, I always thought that Nissan was the worst out of all the Japanese auto makers. We used to have a Nissan, and the thing was a nightmare. We had a Honda, and now have a few Toyotas, and theyre were and are great products. I think that Toyota is going to be the only successful Japanese auto maker with it's trucks.
