The Japanese gov't paid for the development, because they were aware of the coming gas prices. I think that new International Lone Star is an awesome looking truck, though my buddy who is a trucker dreads Internationals, saying they look good, but driving it is like driving a Lada. LoL. From what I heard from many trucker, Volvo has one of the best-engineered trucks on the market.
