$3.00/gal. Gas !
I guess this is what we'll get stuck with now every spring, after suffering through a long winter the time comes when you can finally crank down the windows and open the sunroof and the price of gas goes through the roof. Only way to beat thses dirtbags is to slow down and drive less to save fuel.

AURA PERFORMANCE HIGHLIGHTS
'' Hydraulic power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering " Wonder why they chose this over EPS that other Epsilon cars use.

2007 PREVUE CONCEPT
If GM were to actually be ahead of the game with this vehicle they would have to have it on sale this fall but that ain't gonna happen. What I would love to see is something futuristic like this shown as a production model not a concept and blow everyone's socks off.

97 Grand AM 3100
Thanks, I know Grand Ams have brake issues just like Cavaliers. Is it because of a $h!ty designed brake system or would going to better quality non GM brake parts extend the life of the brakes?

2007 Outlook Teaser Pic
Excellent interior. Looks a lot like a trailblazer from the side.

SATURN AURA RADIATES STYLE, REFINEMENT
A nice car but doesn't really knock my socks of from these pics. Would like to see some pic with real mags that were not stolen from a Sebring. Like the HP increase for the 3.5, hope all the others get it.

Solstice still putting the hurt on Miata MX5
I live in the import econobox capital of the world and have only seen one Solstice on the road and that was this past week. I don't think I've seen a new Miata either but to be honest I'm not sure if I could tell the difference between an old one and the new one. A Pontiac dealer a pass going to work has had the same blue Solstice in the showwroom for about two months, I guess nobody wanted to buy a vert when the snow was falling.

97 Grand AM 3100
Thanks for the comments, I love to hear feedback from owners. As mentioned in my original post the car did have the intake manifold job done last fall so I don't expect to have any issues with that.

The 2007 Saturn Aura
How can some of you start dumping on the car after seeing one crappy pic of the car. Its looks pretty good to me so far. I knew the production version wouldn't be a carbon copy of the concept.

Detroit News: 2006 Hyundai Accent GLS Review
How can two so called jounalists who write stories about the auto industry and live in Michigan buy a Hyundia that was made in Korea? Ever hear of rooting for the home team a**hole?

97 Grand AM 3100
My friends mom is selling her 97 Grand Am 4 door 3.1 and I'm thinking of buying it for the wife. She bought it new and the good part is it only has 45,000 miles on it. The car has never had a rough day in its life, just driven locally by an older woman. Even though it has low miles she had the dreaded intake manifold leak but had that replaced last fall. It also has new brakes and comes with 4 winter tires on rims. I can get it for $4000 Canadian (about 3300 U.S.). Should I Go for it or pass? I am aware of some of the issues these cars have but figure with such low mileage this car should be good for a while.

NYIAS: GM Debuts new FWD 6-Speed Auto
Finally! What's the base powertrain in the Aura going to be and will this 6 speed make it into any other cars for 07?

March 2006 Sales: General Motors
No doubt the bankruptcy stuff is hurting sales.I can't blame anybody for avoiding GM right now with all the talk in the media. I personally talked to two different people last weekend who are in the market for a new car and they are both happy current GM owners, one said they'll pass on GM for sure this time and the other one isn't sure what to do.

March 2006 Sales: Hyundai Motor America
5 of 7 models are down. Sonota is way up but a lot of those are going to fleets. They must be dissapointed the new Accent is down 50%.
-
March 2006 Sales: American Honda Motor Co.
They had a $2000 incentive on it that's why its sales picked up last month. Check the story in today's Detroit news at the end of the article.

More rumours about the G6
I doubt they'll put that in for 07. Another rumour was the G6 getting the Impala's 3.5 211HP motor for 07 but I think that's doubtful too.

Honda Ridgeline fires
I'd have to see more than 4-5 letters to believe this is a wide spread problem with Honda trucks.

2009 Impala
I think your thinking of an episode about 6 months ago that aired just after GM gave journailsts a sneak peak at their future models but it was the NG Malibu that John Mckelroy was raving about not the Impala when he said they could sell everyone they could build. Or maybe there was another episode I missed.

G6 a success...
In my neck of the woods, Montreal, G6's are now selling very well ( I don't have local statistics) but I am seeing more and more of them all the time so I know they are catching on. My brother rented one last weekend for a trip down to NYC and was very impressed by it ( he drives a 04 Matrix). I pick up Detroit tv stations with my dish and they always have news about the auto industry and they did a story on the G6 saying that it was really starting to catch on. They interviewed 2 different analyists, one from J.D. power and the other I don't remember where he was from but they said the coupe was what was really starting to help sales and that 40% of coupe sales were conquest sales. Maybe its #'s are down compared to GA but GA's used to fill the rental lots so maybe the G6 is doing better on the retail side. 99 % of the G6's I see here are sedans.
