Toyota Yaris: Why is toyota so stupid?
I didn't think it would be possible to make a car that was uglier than the Echo hatchback but Toyota has succeeded with the Yaris, the front end is hideous and the interior is goofy. For the record I think the Aveo hatchback is awful too.

Can you say Car Wash

Geneva: Chevrolet Epica
Thanks for the info. I did read something on this motor a few years back that said Porsche had a hand in it. See how bad journalism can spread like wildfire.

MSN Autos: 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe Review
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the 900's will be a smashing success. Just hope gas prices don't go through the roof this summer and hurt sales.

IIHS Tests Fusion, Sonata, G6, TSX, 3, G35, IS
Attention Ford and GM, SAB need to be standard on all the cars you sell unless you want the word "poor" in the description of your crash test results. I'm hoping they will be standard for 07.

Last Gen Cutlass Supreme
Thanks for the info. I would be going for the dream cruise in August, do you think the olds show would be the same weekend?

Good Bye.
Sad. I too have been to that plant when I was in Lansing for the Olds Party in 97.

General Motors Death Watch 60: Bankruptcy is Good
This is an interesting read. I just wish something major would happen even if it is bankruptcy, that would be better than another 10 years of market share loss and plant closings. May as well go for broke instead of dying a slow death.

GM to sell 20 pct stake in Suzuki Motor for $2.33B
Wasn't CAMI schedules to get a Suzuki version of the Equinox to build? I guess that is out now. I was wondering why Suzuki just brought out a new Grand Vitara that is similair in size to the Nox but its from Japan.

GM Canada announces name change of Pursuit to G5
Another dumb move by GM. Canada should of just kept using the Pursuit name even if the U.S. couldn't use it. Just another way to mix people up. Can't they come up with any decent names for their cars instead of G5 and G6? A neighbour's car was in an accident a few weeks back and she got an 4 door Optra as loaner and was telling me that should would be interested in buying but I had to break the news to her that GM doesn't sell the 4 door Optra anymore. Any Canadians out there remember Asuna from the early 90's? Or how about the Pontiac Lemans in the early 90's that was really a korean car. God their marketing depts. suck.

GM, Toyota Agree to Extend Advanced Technology
Why are we still sleeping with the enemy?

GM small cars
I forgot about that one. My blower motor resistor died last fall too. Is it hard to change that?

CR Biased-No Not At All
I think GM and Ford should team up because it really is us against them now and there's not much time left in this game.

Feb. 2006 Sales: Hyundai Motor America
I know its a monthly sales record and GM would do the same thing, however it is funny that they only went up by 74 vehicles.

CR Biased-No Not At All
I agree with a lot of your points FOG and CARBIZ but the reality is if Detroit doesn't make some head way with CR they are destined for the Graveyard. This story is all over the news this morning. I heard it on the radio stations on my drive to work. "Japanese cars are the best", "Japanese cars are the best" "Japanese cars are the best"... yada yada yada. Its enough to give me a headache. Now I have to go into damage control mode to fend off all the A**holes who will be bothering me about this story today.

Feb. 2006 Sales: Toyota Motor Company
I hope I live to see that day.

Feb. 2006 Sales: Hyundai Motor America
Isn't it amazing how a companies PR department can dream up these headlines. " A new February sales record for Hyundai". They sold 74 more cars than last February.
-
Feb. 2006 Sales: Chrysler Group
The Charger is selling very good, its on tack to sell 120k a year a probably taking a lot of Impala buyers.
-
Feb. 2006 Sales: General Motors
"The Torrent is doing EXACTLY what it was supposed to do... Giving Pontiac VOLUME." Its also taking sales from the Nox. Your right the Pilot costs a lot more than a Equinox.

Geneva: Chevrolet Epica
"Just as impressive as the smoothness of the 142 hp and 157 hp six-cylinder engines is their acceleration. They take the Epica from 0 to 100 km/h in 11.8 and 10.1 sec respectively"*. 0 to 60 in 10 seconds is nothing to be proud of. That's the same engine the Epica currently has now in Canada. All the reviews I've read about it is that it is an extremely smooth engine (its made by Porsche I believe) but it's way underpowered and gas mileage isn't that great.

GM small cars
How much mileage on your 2.4? My 2001 has 75K and the only thing that has needed changing was the body control module. Getting tired of the choppy ride and the interior is starting to rattle more and more. But if it continues to be trouble free until I get new wheels I will pass it over to my wife and keep it for another 5 years.
-
Feb. 2006 Sales: Toyota Motor Company
A 2.4% increase for Toyota is small for them, usually they're up around 10% every month year over year.
-
Feb. 2006 Sales: General Motors
I was hoping sales we be up, even slighty so they could build some momentum but again the headlines will read GM sales down again...yada yada yada....
