That's a beautiful ride. I wish I could win it! C3 Vettes are by far my favorite. 1974 was the year that the V8 went on haitus for a year. It came back as the 5.0L in 1975.

That's about as sparse and dull as you can get for an interior.

Saturn. I realize that it is a young brand with no bad stigma, but if I were running GM and forced to cut one brand, it'd be the one that has no heritage. GM could make Buick and Pontiac really outstanding brands if it actually tries. Saturn doesn't know what it wants to be, doesn't know what it is. It doesn't sell very many cars and was originally created as a Japanese import fighter. I wouldn't shed much of a tear if GM cut Saturn.

Yeah, that's a pretty creepy avatar. I was actually being mesmerized by the Beehive hairdo on the woman to the right when that little girl got right into my face. It reminds me of that one commercial where you watch the car go down the winding road and then some zombie corpse jumps out at you....you open it up because it says "Cool car" but you know something's fishy when that "cool car" is a Camry (or whatever it was).

Good taste in music. :) The only one out of those you listed that I don't know of is Symphony X. All the others I either have multiple albums by or lots of songs downloaded.

This thread actually made me laugh out loud...it's pretty rare that that happens. The people in the room across the hall looked at me like I was crazy. The multiple and 'blu's Batman avatar....

Searing hair metal, heavy metal, most 80s music, some grunge/modern rock, and classic rock. I steer clear of boy bands, emo, country, hardcore rap, screamo, and Britney/Avril/Christina-type pop.

The reason cars are getting so much bigger is because every automaker keeps trying to top each other with "roomiest interior", longest wheelbase, widest hip room, etc. Part of the problem (for the US anyway) is that our obesity epedemic is making everything bigger...from cars to movie theater seats. Cars got small in the late 70s and early 80s due to high gas prices...I have a feeling that if gas prices keep going up, cars will begin to shrink again.

I see A LOT of Ford Explorer in that front end, and the side ribbing looks like it was taken off an early 90s Grand Am. It's an old looking design....it looks like something from the mid 90s. I really hope the Chinese don't make much of a foothold here in the US...the last thing we need are more (and cheaper) automakers crowding an already competitive market.

Man, you'd think Honda would have relocated the oil filter to solve this serious problem by now. Are they ever going to do it, or will they keep shifting the blame to the dealerships? To no mechanics surprise, the CRV fires have continued to be reported on the 2005 model year CRV. Here is a description of the design change that seems to makes this model more susceptible to the fires than the old ones. "For the GEN2 CR-V, the oil filter is located in close proximity to the hottest portion of the exhaust system; in the GEN1 design the engine block separate these components. Additionally, and due primarliy to more stringent tailpipe emission standrads,the GEN2 exhaust system's surfaces reach significantly higher temperatures than the GEN1 design for the same operating conditions" We were told that this design was no more susceptible to a fire than the old design where the oil filter was separated from the exhaust. But apparently, real life data shows that this might not the case. Make: HONDA Model: CR-V Year: 2005 Summary: OUR 2005 HONDA CRV'S ENGINE CAUGHT ON FIRE APPROIMATELY. 300 MILES AFTER THE FIRST OIL CHANGE. THE DEALER PERFORMED THE OIL CHANGE NOT US. I remember on the old forums (like old forums...before the March 2004 redesign) when I posted my first drawing concept of a Grand Marquis. I wasn't getting very many comments, but he gave me some good constructive criticism and was one of the first members at C&G that really stood out to me. It's too bad he's moved on...he was a good guy and I always enjoyed him taking the time to post all those articles.

Stryper actually isn't too bad...if I could only listen to only one band for the rest of my life and it had to be Christian rock, Stryper would be it. To Hell with the Devil is a pretty good song. I think the reason Stryper doesn't seem as ludicrous as the band I saw is because their songs are more harmonic and soaring...and they actually sing instead of scream.
