  1. This can be the case, but as far as the engine is concerned, the M30 is bulletproof.
  2. Nice! More pics!

I can be a very cunning linguist... I think I'd be able to hold a good conversation with her... :AH-HA_wink:

I know there was a time when RF was good...now? Not so much that I am aware of. I tend to see them as the brand offered by BestBuy along with Sony Xplod stuff...Basically it seems like flashy stuff offered to ricers, cheapos, and guys lookin for that "bumpin" system. For big name brands I like JL...though I may be a bit biased because I have a 500/1 amp, 300/4 amp, and 2 JL 10" W3v2's mounted in a box sitting in my room from out of my old truck...They won't go into my BMW without bypassing the DSP though, and I want to use the stock interface, so I'd need to utilize a JL cleansweep or something similar...in the meantime, they sit.

On a small scale they may not be that hard to upkeep... My buddy is into aquatics and fish tanks...kinda runs a small side business dealing with them which gives him access to wholesaler licenses. He has a 200 gallon acrylic salt water reef tank, and let me tell you, upkeep is a bitch. The setup he has for the water exchange is pretty involved and there is a lot to it. It is really cool when everything is working properly. Stability is the most vital part of the tank, because on that scale you are dealing with pretty much an ecosystem, and assuming everything stays stable (water, salt levels, ph levels, temperature and such) then it should just take care of itself. That definitely isn't a simple process though. I was going to have him set up a custom tank in our house...They are really cool, but the maintenance and upkeep is a huge turnoff. Even talking about all the work gets me annoyed and frustrated, so I won't get into it.

Those M30's are bulletproof. Great engines. Though, if you are looking at 530's at least do yourself the service of getting a 540 with the 6-speed of course. Granted, you are looking for a touring so you are kinda limited to 525 and 530...unless you can be lucky enough to find a 540 or an M5...which would be near impossible...And anyway, why import the 540 touring when you can import the M5 touring, which a couple guys have done. They've showed up to Bimmerfest..man those things are awesome.

So far, this thread fails. I hope you can redeem yourself. If I don't see a NWS tag in the thread title before the end of the night, then I think a mandatory suspension is in order.

  12. Older than the internet, but an explanation may clear things up... I remember this from back in my psychology course days, but I believe they took that monkey when it was born and placed it in an area with two "mother" lookalikes. One was warm and furry and "comforting", and the other dispensed food and water. Basically, the monkey grew much more attached to the "comfort" monkey than the "provider" monkey. Something like that anyway...

You guys are lucky to get interviews...All the job applications I have filled out, all the places I have sent my resume to, all the follow-ups I have done...Absolutely nothing.

Wait...wasn't Nycole pretty hott if I remember correctly? f@#k her man...Don't let her get to you, guilt you into anything, or make you feel any regrets. She f@#ked you over...you are no longer that "shoulder" for her to cry on either. You've moved on. What's hers is hers to deal with, and shouldn't concern you unless you let it. Just leave it at that.

I have heard good things...Even the BMW guys seem to like it
  16. I love listening to the radio. We have a few channels out here that play classic rock, as well as stations that play other rock hits that range from new to old, so I am satisfied with the rock content...I just wish we'd get more metal content. I have not heard one metal station.

Really? I need to check costco again because last time I did they didn't carry Mobil 1. It is around 60 bucks for 8 quarts of it at Pep Boys.

Ooh...looks like even Audi got a bit of time in this...Good to see it won't completely be a GM advertisement.

530...I think I may have seen 1 e34 530 in my life...The 4.0 is much superior in performance, not that it is relevant to this discussion... I may be partial to the BMW (I think it is a great looking car which those pics do no justice...I know how good it can look with even some subtle enhancements, and I think I prefer the narrow grill version opposed to the wide grill.) That aurora is a good looking car though. I'm with Sixty8 on this discussion...call me racist, but I just cannot stand driving a fwd car. There are times though when I wish I had a cupholder in my car...newer BMW's have seemed to solve the issue, but my car fails...this is a front cupholder out of an e39 bmw 5-series... Same thing in the rear...cheap, fragile plastic that doesn't support any drink, causing it to fall over in any turn...or it just breaks.
  20. Have you ever thought of, perhaps, making your own coffee?

I loved my Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's...but I can't justify spending $1500 for a set of tires right now. I went with General Exclaim UHP's this time around for about half was the PS2's ran. These will last a bit longer and from what I understand they are a very underrated performance tire...or at least touted as one of the best bang for your buck performance tires available, so I'm happy...Can't wait to get them on tomorrow...Mostly because my car has been sitting on jack stands since September.
  22. Here's an idea... Stop going to starbucks.
  23. I was looking for a new pair of jeans at the Levi's store the other day...This extremely flamboyant Mexican guy who went by the name of "angel" (which he made sure I knew on a couple different occasions) was consistently buzzing around me, and came by the dressing room a number of times to ask me if I needed any assistance. On an unrelated note, I hate clothes shopping, and I hate the mall. I didn't end up buying anything. I'll probably just order clothes online...but I can't even seem to be able to tolerate that.
  24. Ah, I gotcha...What would a Nomad be considered?
