  1. I think it has to do with that "indie" trend...
  2. Your camera...give it to me.
  3. I actually have a portable version of photoshop CS4 if you'd like it (or rather, be told where to download it...) The great thing about portable versions is they are small...very small. I believe this one is 75 megs in a zip file. They are the full unadulterated version though. They don't install or anything, you just click on them and they unpack themselves and boot right up. Very convenient to use. I have it on a flash drive, so I can have photoshop pretty much anywhere at any time.
  4. Actually, it has been stated that those graphics are real time. It seems the trend among developers has become to make trailers which show off the graphics as they will be when you play the game, rather than heavily rendered cinematics...though, with the consoles of today, it isn't impossible to make amazing looking games. GT5 is pretty nice, but it seems pretty typical when compared to other games in the pipeline, like GOW3 or Uncharted 2, which I would imagine are far more intensive.

  10. Yes, that sums it up quite nicely. Though, I find this is more concise and to the point:

Though, I think you will find the truth lies in Raptor Jesus.

I was actually just thinking about going to bar-tending school, if anything, for the fun of it. Interesting note about the gay-bar part. I wouldn't mind working in a gay bar, and I imagine tips would be pretty good.
  13. I saw a new Mercedes with an old style blue and yellow non-reflective California plate the other day... Don't really understand how that one happened...
  14. Holy crap that grill is huge...It looks much worse in that pic than any of the other pics I have seen. I actually have been wanting to see it in white, but now I don't think I want to see it, period.
  15. That's neat that your ATM does scanning. I do ATM deposits but I have to use envelopes. I just put in the amount of the check in the ATM...apparently I am trusting enough to where it makes all the funds available immediately. The envelopes and checks get verified the next business day. I accidentally entered in a lower amount than what the check was for and they automatically gave me the funds when they checked it. I suppose I could deposit an envelope for a much higher amount, withdraw the funds, and flee the country if I wanted. I'll have to keep that one in mind.

  17. This. Edit: But the technology would have to be adaptable to, say, a rwd architecture and a V8.
  18. Sorry...didn't catch this was for leather at first glance. Look up "Leatherique". Definitely the best product I have seen for dying leather.
  19. Not sure about that stuff, but as far as interior painting goes I have always heard VHT is the stuff to go with.

Wow...that's more than my motorcycle. I've never known cars to idle that high. My car idles around 750 when it is cold.

I'll take his place. It is a shame you are leaving the country...I would've gladly let her experience what the ultimate driving machine feels like. :AH-HA_wink:

Jesus $h!...is there a "type like a buffoon" meme going around that I don't know about?
  23. I wasn't trying to be a smart ass even though my comment may have come across that way. It was an honest question that I would like to know the answer to in greater detail. I may have some interest in performing some research on where cash flows are diversified...Interesting point about the stock though. I wasn't aware.

True, I've just never seen one idle that high on a cold start, but I suppose it could be partially attributed to that it hasn't been run in a long time.
  25. Last time I checked, all these corporations are publicly owned and traded. Can someone explain how the origin of the corporation really matters in determining where the money goes? I get the "support the big 3" stance. Not questioning it over supporting other brands...I just never understood the argument that the money spent buying a Japanese car goes back to Japan.
