Cool idea, horrible execution...that looks like some cheesy after market remote...
  2. Those are awesome man! For Halloween I'm trying to get my parents out of the house and I'm going to throw a huge party that weekend. Hopefully things will work out for that.
  3. Try 12 variations, and 4,000 vehicles in new model comparisons...Don't be bitter because BMW produces a product which better appeals to a great number of buyers. :AH-HA_wink:

    That's f@#ked up...good marketing...hilarious marketing...but f@#ked up.
  5. Seriously...what were they thinking? That's just stupid. I noticed that and couldn't believe fog lights weren't standard.
  6. There's a million mile 90's Chevy 1500 pickup somewhere...I think it was a K&N ad (supposedly he used a K&N filter for its entire life)...the car lasted him with only regular oil changes.

Yeah, I've seen that before...fantastic commercial.
  8. So, I saw this commercial last night...BMW 3er commercial. I thought it was really well done, especially the very end which made me smile a lot. The last segment of the video shows Bimmerfest, the definitive, annual BMW gathering in the nation. It happens every year in Santa Barbara, California at the Earl Warren Showgrounds. This year it happened May 5th (Drinko de Mayo! Yeah baby!) and it was a great turnout. The first shot is of the E21 3er's with their hoods popped. One of my buddy's on another forum named Matt has the red one, and he couldn't believe it...Pretty awesome. My car is somewhere in the second shot...it is a very large venue with a huge turnout...It isn't possible to cover the entire are with one photo...but my car is somewhere in there. It's just cool because I was there and I look forward to this event every year...it is generally the highlight of my year; many fond memories, and I'm happy to see BMW preserving those memories for years to come. It really brings a smile to my face, dare I say, almost a tear to my eye...figured you guys might like the video as well.
  9. My dad may be getting rid of his car soon and looking for a truck again. I'd really like to see him pick up a new Sierra Denali. I stopped by my local PBG dealer the other day and they only had 1 Sierra Denali in. It was in the showroom...black and fully loaded. Sweet truck, but I did notice right away that the "wood" panel on the passenger side (airbag/dash area) looked warped...
  10. How are these in any manner the "first shots" of the CTS-V?
  11. The cut-lines, Duke! The cut-lines!

I have FiOS DVR... It is FTW. But, clearly, that is not what you are looking for.
  13. That's what I was thinking...A la BMW e46 330ciNot that great of an example...works better with tint... Better examples
  14. lolz...do I need to post pictures of my speedo with the needle exceeding the 155 marking?
  15. God dammit.Or at least that's what I said...I'm sure his words will be much harsher... I can't say I didn't expect this to happen...MB may still make hardtops, but MB's are also much more expensive and heavy.
  16. That first video of the Tundra on the 101 North in Camarillo is actually not far from me (hell...I drive down there all the time...my buddy lives at the bottom of the grade which leads from Thousand Oaks/Newbury Park to Camarillo...but I digress)... There are portions of that freeway that really suck...but even so, my 540 with fully upgraded suspension and 19" wheels with very low profile tires would never bounce me even remotely close to that...That's clearly an engineering fault.

    wow...it's very...brown..
  18. ....Reg...gotta love him...
  19. So...where on your list is the V8/rwd swap?
  20. Nick replied to capriceman's topic in The Lounge
BMW's maintenance schedule is a joke anyway...especially with their "lifetime" fluids and 15k oil changes.

Exploding BMW engines is very unusual actually...Granted, my timing chain guides blew up unexpectedly which was very out of the ordinary for my car, and I wouldn't doubt if I am one of the few who have experienced it. Generally, BMW's most catastrophic engine issues tend to circulate around the cooling system...
  22. Well, a 135i weighs about 130lbs less than a 335i...The 128i will probably be around 3150-3200 lbs or so in base trim if I had to guess...
  23. I'm still pissed at how much it weighs...

How late? You could get an e39 528 wagon for really low teens, or under 10. E34 you're guaranteed to find anything you want cheap, other than an M5 maybe which would still be in the mid to upper teens.
