  1. +1 for G&T. Bombay Sapphire with Schweppes tonic. Appletini? Nah...I'm not a huge martini drinker (especially frilly ones), but I'll enjoy a dirty martini every now and then; a couple blue cheese stuffed greek olives will do. I prefer gin, but if it is a good vodka like Stoli Elit or Jean Marc XO I'll take it. Otherwise, I am a fan of single malt Scotch or a good bourbon straight up. I love margaritas, but they need to be on the rocks at least. I will typically order a Cadillac. Jager? Nah...not anymore. Malt Liquor? No. I'm a beer drinker, or rather a beer snob. I've paid more for a 12oz bottle of beer than I am willing to bet most people have on a bottle of decent wine. Speaking of which, where is wine on that list?
  2. I will never not drive a manual (in a truck I'll make an exception) and I will ensure all my friends, including girlfriends, will know how to drive a manual. I have successfully taught several friends as well as my sister how to drive a manual. It has come in handy on quite a number of occasions not only for me, but for them as well.
  3. My car sounds pretty good actually. Not the best, but for stock (with the resonator removed) it sounds great. I love the sound of an Eisenmann on these cars though... (the M5 helps, but it sounds equally amazing on my lowly 540...may be time for an upgrade within the next year...)
  4. I took some pics of a new Regal, but they didn't turn out well. It looked to be out on a test drive. I had no idea they were for sale already.

I will usually never stop unless I need gas, which comes about every 300 miles or so in my car. I'll typically average at least 90 mph on a long trip, so i'm usually driving for now more than a couple hours before I need to stop.
  6. What? My Birthday was yesterday! Thanks though.
  7. Who's packing ERs? Not the uninsured "Among the under-65 population, the uninsured were no more likely than the insured to have had at least one emergency department visit in a 12-month period." So in other words, the uninsured are just as likely to go to the ER as the insured, which equates to a whole hell of a lot of people including illegals who I have to pay for. Yeah, that's nice.
  8. I'm about 10-15 minutes away from work.
  9. I can think of one major reason for the cause of the incident...and it doesn't even involve unintended acceleration. I can't stand ADD being used as a cop out to excuse legitimately stupid acts.
  10. This is absurd. There is absolutely no justification for this.

    Very cool!
  12. If you are going to consider one, look into an e36 or e30 3 series. They are fun, good cars, and they will teach him how to work a wrench. I wouldn't recommend anything newer like an e46...then you're getting into pricier cost of ownership.

I'd push a Yugo before I set foot in a Toyota.
  15. Cloth is filthy, makes a car musty, is more prone to absorbing odors, stains, and just looking like $h!. A good quality, well designed leather seat will look nicer, feel nicer, exude a much higher quality than cloth, and will have negligible temperature differences in comparison to cloth. I can understand why most of you dislike leather...cheap leather can really suck to sit in, and GM (among other automakers) has a history of some really crappy leather. I will say though that cloth can be good, especially in performance applications. For example, this is one of the most sought-after seats in the BMW community..straight out of the e36 M3, and seemingly quite rare, the cloth vader:
  16. Considering in about a month I will receive my college degree, I decided to go on to receive my MBA and possibly my law degree. Only then will I inquire about cursed magnets and the perplexities consociated to their given function.
  17. You mean a big, tall, narrow SUV is prone to rolling over? WHO KNEW?! I've never heard of this happening before. Ever.

    Damn. Trolololroll'd.
  19. Hey man! I've been wondering where you have been. Good to see you back!

I didn't feel anything, though I have some friends north of me who felt it, and apparently my dad sw the chandelier swaying a bit. Granted, I'm significantly further north of the epicenter (at least a couple hundred miles if not more), so whatever reaches us is nothing compared to what those more southern felt. The fact that it was felt this far north is pretty impressive.
