I pulled up at a stoplight next to a 350Z track. We were both first at the light...he was revving it, but I wasn't paying too much attention...it was obvious he wanted to race...I didn't floor it off the line because at the time my clutch was ready to go and I wouldn't have gone anywhere with my clutch clipping...He floored it off the line and got a quick jump on me while I eased into it. Once my clutch grabbed I just about evened up with him in terms of speed and he wasn't gaining. I shifted into second with my clutch slipping all the way through and suprisingly I was gaining on him and as I approached the end of second I was moving ahead. Once I hit 3rd I was way ahead and it was over. I got in front of him as we approached another light. I didn't gun it or anything, but he merged into the other lane and tried to pass me, and as he came up next to me I just gunned it and blew past him again. So we went back to normal driving and whatever and another light came up and I was behind him. He gunned it from the light and I followed behind him. He was flooring it, I couldn't floor it or I would've rear ended him. It was obvious who the victor of those races were. That jsut goes to show you don't f*ck with teh 540 6-speed. I haven't raced all that much, but some of my most impressive pulls have been on the freeway and highways. That's where my car is at home.

I'm in a similar position as you newbiewar...Most cars are imports, majority being lexi, then BMW and MB...As far as SUV's go, there are a lot of RR's, X5's, GX's, and RX's. But the big SUV's and trucks like that tend to all be GM for the most part...between denalis and escalades and a few navigators thrown in for good measure...If it's a domestic car, it is a sports car like a vette, viper, or mustang...or it's a 300c maybe...don't see much else...

The M5 competes more closely to an F430 than to the CLS and STS (other than 2 extra doors of course). The M5 is truly the ultimate driving machine. It's a monster. As was the e39 in its day. Unless you're comparing looks, there really is no comparison with the M5 in its "true" market and model range. The CLS is a great car, and it hauls ass in a straight line, as do all AMG's. They are made for the autobahn. Not so much for the twisties. Caddy is trying to be a little of both and unfortunately is failing. Though, to say it is failing is somewhat exagerrated as it does offer great performance, but compared to its competition obviously it falls short.

I'm actually suprised BMW is not included. With the Z4 (and former Z3) and the 3 series, (while I love those cars) they do seem to attract quite a large effeminate audience. Edit: just read it again and noticed it isn't talking about how "gay" a car is, but the benefits that a manufacturer gives to its GBLT employees.

I see some Grand Cherokee in this (specifically the pic where it is towing the car). I also see a lot of Lexu GX in it too. More or less in the front portion I think is where I see it. The interior doesn;'t wow me. I mean, it looks ok, but the dash area seems to leave something to be desired.

From the sound of it, "Blacklight Power" is the name of the company, not necessarily the source. The Source is actually a newly developed hydrogen atom (Hydrino) in which the electron has a closer orbit to the proton and creates 1,000 times the energy (heat) of conventional fuel while being 1/5th the price. (1.2 cents/kWh compared to 5 for coal or 6 for nuclear). Sounds awesome. What's the callsign for this company? I think I want to do a little investing myself :P

Pickin' on the little guy eh? That's ok. I for one stand up for the little guy. Kind of like you, I also dont always notice the richer feel of my car because I am busy avenging the losses of the little guys watching everything, especially CTS's, get smaller in my rear view mirror. :AH-HA_wink: (or in the latest race, the object in my mirror getting smaller was a 350Z)
