Joe Biden's Security Breached in 2010 Olympics
Saw a picture of him in the paper yesterday wearing his US Olympic team jacket, and red gloves with white maple leaves on them. Usually you don't see any member of a government wearing the national symbol of another, I was kind of surprised.

Never heard of a lot of these games! (and I've played a lot of card games) I play: Rummy Euchre Hearts Wizard and Hold-em, at the casino.

today's xkcd
Next we need somebody to 'chop a movie poster. Speed 3: Bloody Gore Keanu must help a whiny Californian off of their randomly accelerating Prius with no brakes. Final boss scene involves killing Al Gore.

North American Brands
So far we have T1. Chevrolet (12) T1. Ford (12) #3. Subaru (10) T4. Buick ( T4. Volkswagen ( T6. Cadillac (7) T6. BMW (7) Chevy and Ford are now tied! Rainier is the traitorous swine who voted Ford and not Chevy! Let's go get the bag of rotten tomatoes! XD Subaru doesn't surprise me, but I would have thought that BMW would be further up the list.

North American Brands
I was leaving that up to the individual. Personally I only clicked ones I can afford, but you can do whatever you want.

North American Brands
Shame that it doesn't bump when somebody votes... this topic keeps getting lost.

North American Brands
I realized that my selections boil down to one very simple statement: All makers of affordable, basic transportation.

North American Brands
Hmmm... OK, didn't realize Alfa was in America. It's not for sale in Canada.

What not to drive in the snow
It's sad that that's the case. A vehicle like the Camry really should be able to handle weather like that.

funny "postcards"
They're more weird than funny.

What not to drive in the snow
Yeah, after that incident she started renting cars for the worst three months of winter. Going from a Trans Am to a Regal was rather painful for her though (remember this was '93, the Regal really sucked back then).

What not to drive in the snow
Yes. Size of the tires also matters though. That's why snow tires are usually narrower than the summer tires they replace.

What not to drive in the snow
Actually the worst car in the snow is a muscle car. I remember my mother's '93 Trans Am sliding about 50 to 60 feet at about 5 km/h down a 1 or 2 degree slope, right out of the driveway of my parents office, and all the way across a 4 lane road, to bump the curb at the other side. Those giant rear tires made the bloody thing handle like a sled in the snow.

someone offered to trade their car for my mustang
Heh, not cheap to repair, no kidding. My buddy hit a deer with his 3 series and was quoted $9k to repair.

Toyota sales losses, throttlegate
Same company who gained from the recession. Hyundai/Kia. Also, only 7%? I think it will be much more than that. They've closed plants, FFS.

You know you grew up in the 90s when...
You know what is missing from that list? ...if you remember having to write down the save codes from video games because there was no battery backup.

Ultimate Coffee Thread
5 years ago I would have responded the same. Then I got hooked on coffee at work. Now it's a cup a day or I just don't feel right.

Ultimate Coffee Thread
I like my coffee weak and Canadian. Tim Horton's. Enough said. That Starbucks crap makes me want to hurl.

US Supreme Court overturns 1937 corporate campaigning ruling
That's because the gap between richer and poorer has grown considerably. The rich have more money than ever to throw at politics. *The gap between richer and poorer growing is not unique to the US, don't get me wrong. Happens to some degree with all democracies over time. The longer the economy has existed, the larger the gap gets (in general). Interesting to note that apparently the fairest country in the world in this respect is Sweden.

NAIAS '10 Photographs & Slight Review
the_yellow_dart replied to NOS2006's post in a topic in North American International Auto Show in Detroit (NAIAS)I agree with Dodgefan as well... My last great hope for GM was with the Malibu, and it seems to have fallen on deaf ears in the market. Nobody really seems to care about it, even though it was supposed to be the next great product.... Only the Fusion really seems to be hanging onto that title after real-world launch.
