  1. *warning, slightly sick post* A lot of our sexual quirks as humans can be explained by looking at how monkeys have sex. (that sounds more gross than it was supposed to!) Monkey females typically take on multiple males (one at a time) when they're horny. One finishes and another takes over after him. This explains two things - why women take longer to orgasm than men (typical is 15 min vs. 3) and also why men like the visuals of sex. If you saw sex back then, chances were good that it was your turn soon. Also I think this explains why men have a 'spot' in their asses. If another male is getting impatient enough to stick it in your ass and you haven't finished with the woman yet, you better finish soon or the crowd may get violent with you.
  2. If consumers are stupid enough to think that they're really doing the environment a favour by choosing a Prius, then they're stupid enough to avoid labelled foods. Really, Sly - you know deep down that people are stupid. How many times have you complained about some of the best selling cars on the road? What does that tell you about the decision making abilities of the average American???
  3. I generally avoid the mom-and-pop type stations just because I don't know where they get their gas. I go to Petro-Canada if I can. I avoid Esso because their gas is extremely dirty compared to every other major Canadian station (over 2x more pollutants by volume than the next competitor).
  4. So they've badge engineered the KIA ripoff into a Jeep ripoff. Great. I think Tyrone designed this, and the Equinox. At least the back end on this one is nice, and the front end other than the headlights on the Equinox is nice. I can't say anything nice about the rest of either vehicle.
  5. You'll notice the extra RAM and the native 64bit support more than you'll notice a faster bus.
  6. To anyone who won't consider GM I just tell them the story of my father. Burned by a '77 Corolla, he hates Toyota to this day and vowed 'never again'. Then I ask them - If you think that's silly, then isn't it just as silly to continue to blame GM for their mistakes too?
  7. Really? How did you find out about them?
  8. Also I would like to say that there are certain benefits to being in this type of scene. Not that I would do any of that now that I'm in a relationship, but it was nice when I was single.
  9. First, the semi-famous 'professional' band: Hostage Life vid 2 Then, there's my friends: Bacchus Fire Hydrant Tripping Hazard Cold Dead Hands The Atomic Ravens (possibly defunct) Fine Motor Control (broke up, my friend moved on to Bacchus above) These are people I know in Toronto - I've seen most of those bands above more than 5 times. Supporting friends who are trying to make it. I like some of them better than others, but I think they all deserve venues and some place to play to an audience.
  10. In the related videos I found this, pretty funny....
  11. I got a ticket for 163 once. It's not as bad when that's km/h though. Still a bum-raping ticket that cost me about $800 when it was all said and done since you need a lawyer when you are more than 50 over the limit.
  12. The Prius has so many different readouts about fuel economy that driving is like a game - and the MPG value is the score. He's not spreading lies, just bragging about his high score.
  13. My father is the whole left side, my mother the whole right. Their fathers are on top, mothers on bottom. So my father's father is part Irish, part French. My father's mother is Ukranian. My mother's father is Swiss and Scottish. My mother's mother is Polish.
  14. I have some disconcerting noises from time to time too. I was told that they are normal. I've had a couple of mechanics listen to mine and tell me that that's what FWD compacts do. I also had an RSX owner tell me that his car made the exact same noise when he heard it. BTW, I was expecting a grey sedan. Red coupe, it's nice, what are you complaining about?
  15. I have posts at least as far back as March '02 (as realm007). Can't open any of my threads though... shame. Didn't realize it had been that long for me on here.
  16. She is listed as 'alternative country'. I only know her because she was in the New Pornographers, who I certainly wouldn't call country. So I have no idea what she sounds like on her own.
  17. Ummm... OK I'm going to be totally boring here and say - nothing. I'm happy with it the way it is.
  18. PCS: I agree with the site that I rarely get out of the middle ring - on my normal route in Toronto (IE: Flatsville) When I take trips to Hamilton with their escarpment (read: 330 foot cliff), I need a small ring. Seems like a strange choice to just remove the front gears altogether.
  19. Those taillights don't look like the normal Challenger ones. Yes I know the center light bar is missing, but I mean the outer lights themselves look different.
